Why am I being charged TWICE?

Look, I get that you want to auth our credit cards. I think it's scummy, but I went ahead and set up my subscription so I could use my 30 days of "free" (lol) game time. I did this Sunday, April 6, and duly had $14.99 held on my credit card. Okay, whatever.
This morning, a second $14.99 hold was placed on my account.
What the actual hell is going on? Why do I have TWO holds on my account? Now I'm down $30 because you guys can't get your act together with the billing system. I'm about ready to cancel my sub simply because I'm not sure you guys can keep yourselves from repeatedly charging my account at this point. There's 0 reason for my credit card to have had a second $14.99 hold placed on it. What is going on?
