Why have they made it a subscription plan besides for the reason 'money hungry ***'. They have already got us to pay $90AUS

Given that there are about 50 other threads on this very issue that is the question many of us are asking and that they only answer with, essentially "because it says so in the terms and conditions"...
    which answers exactly nothing.

Personally I think it's justified. That said, 10 million plus people thought the same about WoW. No one buys this game without knowing it's a subscription game. If they really had that much of an issue with it, they wouldn't buy it.

In short though, there are a LOT of advantages to subscription games. Aside from an absence of game spoiling cash item shops, the subscriptions also fund expansion content and a better level of service, and Zenimax have MORE than justified their very reasonable subscription fees with plans for additional upcoming content.

Personally I paid for WoW for many years. This game totally wipes the floor with WoW, and despite the expected glitches has still got off to a smoother start on launch than WoW did all those years back from my experience. I have every expectation this game will become bigger. I've already taken the time to cancel subs for any other games and taken the long term 6 month subscription here, as have a number of other players I've spoken to.
