I am able to log into the 'world' but i cannot interact with anything,(cannot Sneak,Draw Bow, Talk to anyone) if i can its only in the first few seconds, then, after a while i get disconnected with an 'unkown error has occurred'

i have lowered all the settings and done everything i can etc etc
any ideas or fixes would be greatly appreciated as i cannot play this game and it is unplayable.

thanks.

Open a command prompt and type "ping -t google.com" Watch the ping for 2 minutes (cntrl C to stop), if you get some lost packets or high ping times (300ms) then there is something wrong with your internet.

You can also go to www.speedtest.net and check your up and down bandwidth to make sure they are both working.

A few lost packets may not show up while browsing the web but it can in a game.

You can check your ping to the server by typing "tracert elderscrollsonline.com" The last ping in there should be really close to the server and give you an idea as to whether it's your internet or theirs.

I just randomly get unknown errors constantly. A few times a day it seems like I crash due to an "unknown error" and this happens in both laggy places (like Cyrodiil) and emptier places (like a hillside).

Those are tough to figure out. Best you can do is make sure you have the latest drivers, not by windows update but by actually going to the manufacturer sites and checking for the latest one.

I have an ati card that keeps crashing to vertical gray bars. I'm going to have to wait for ati to catch up to eso and write the next driver update.

Google average 22ms, 0 packet loss
Also I'm from the uk, so google.co.uk is 15ms 0 packet loss
Doing a tracert to google takes 7hops
tracert to elderscrollsonline.com at 15hops is 44ms/31ms/31ms then request times out after that.

    Your ping test is fine.

If by chance you're in the greenshade area see here.
    https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/7930/kw/disconnected form server

You may be able to find a more detailed error in your event viewer. It's under control panel > (administrative tools, or system and security depending on version) > event viewer. Check application tab and system tab at the time stamp of those incidents.

Just throwing some things out here and shotgunning at this point

    1) Check your internet settings (control panel > internet options). On the connections tabs hit lan settings, make sure everything is unchecked.

2)Go into your windows firewall (in the control panel) and make an exception for ESO.

3)Go into your router and forward ports TCP / UDP Ports 24100 through 24131 and TCP / UDP Ports 24500 through 24507. To get into your router type 192.168.1.1 in your browser. If it's a linksys then the user/pass is admin:admin.

4)A mod suggested repairing, which can be done from the launcher panel.

5)I have heard that some people are getting around these drop outs by using WTFast and Battleping.

    6) Hardwire to your router if you haven't.

7)check second post here, mod. http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/60955/disconnecting-with-an-unknown-error-message/p12

@Armitas Battleping works for me, I can go into highly populated areas now, so it must be my connection then which is the issue, also thankyou for your time helping me out.
