Whats the official word on the physical copy debacle?

Hold on if they extended the early access for you does that mean all of us get extra days as well? If not how is that fair to all of us who are already registered you get extra days we do not?

You have a funny definition of "fair". If you got what you paid for, then you have no claim to compensation. We have been wronged and we demand to be compensated. If you go to a restaurant and some one at a table next to yours finds a finger nail in their soup, they will get it taken off their bill, get a gift card, or get a free desert. How does that entitle you to a free desert??? What kind of logic are you using here?

    ->Release a game on a Friday
    ->No weekend shipping
->Early access players can't play between end of early access and the time their package arrives - possibly days later depending on shipping method

They aren't extending the early access, that is over and done with. Only the grace period to enter the box code

If you started playing Friday, were you upset that others started playing 3-5 days ago? You should just be grateful you have access to the game you paid for (which we now do not)

See I paid extra to make sure I got the game on time. You want them to punish me for that by giving everyone who did not free days. If they give you guys extra time due to no fault of Zenimax ALL of us should get extra time too.

This isn't because we didn't pay extra to get the game on time. I for one payed for 1 day shipping which was supposed to be guarenteed launch day delivery, and other people have stated similar things from other vendors. This was a problem with distribution, not in how we ordered it.

@jamesharv2005ub17_ESO We've already established that not people who paid for overnight shipping, just like you, are also affected by this problem.

For bonus points, there are even solutions that are equitable for everyone out there.

Not really sure how you are being punished. PLENTY of us also paid to have the game arrive "on time" but it didn't happen. And YOU can play the game now, what the hell are you doing here?!

And if they want to start the 30 day clock ticking today, fine. I would simply expect to be credited for the time I was locked out of the game.

I suppose you could try ask for GAME-TIME (not money) refunds due to shipment issues but only when your box arrives (to measure the ammount of days you lost).

This is only if your free game time is still running while you locked out. If it is not - that's just life and UPS and stuff. You lost nothing valuable but your time due to the wait.

P.S. Also I feel for Zenimax... Their early-access thing was a good thing. They could've just... Wait.. NOT DO THAT. So the guys without the box wouldn't be able to play at all, until the box arrived and all the digital guys would play right from the start.

Too bad doing the good thing is what caused this mess... LIFE.

Yeah. I mean, who came up with that idea?
I forgot, though, that weekends end sunday morning.

I know that there might be constraints, or something? But who's the person in the company actually making the decision to only extend to sunday morning? Who is responsible for saying, 'We can go no further than sunday morning.'
Why? You could give us that small amount of time, but no more? Why? You're afraid of losing out on a few days of free game time from the people who paid you over $100 for the game, the collectables, and the free game time?

Who is the one saying this is how it has to be? Who is responsible? Which one?

It may be the third party distributors error, and you may not be responsible, but you have still chosen to go the route of hard-asses on the issue. We gave you a lot of money. We, as a group, invested in you and gave you a fair allowance. Now, maybe to no fault of your own, we did not yet receive our orders, however the access to the game IS up to you. And though it may be the fault of another company, you still chose to do business with them. And they, linked through you, have been a disappointment. You won't honour your paying customers by just giving us another week or so, to make up for the mistakes of others?
Because ultimately it's up to you guys to decide, right?

Can we not get more time because of some kind of NATO sanction or something?
Is someone going to execute a hostage every hour we have any more free access to a game we paid for but haven't received yet?
I mean, I'm just curious what the fear is.

Companies you agreed to do business with have basically made liars out of you. Whether or not this is the truth, this is the perception. And your response is 'we didn't do it, so it's not our fault. Tough break. Buy directly from us, next time and this won't happen.'

...will it not? Amazon has gone on to say they have over-sold their copies. Why? Did you not tell them how many copies you would be sending? They also are reported to not have received their shipment of goods in time to make their release date. Who provided them that? Oh, I suppose that's UPS' or FEDEX's fault. Not yours. I mean once you make the game, it's out of your hands. I mean, that's what it sounds like you're saying, right? Just wash your hands clean of that.

So, is it the people who actually run your server? Is that a third party company, and are they telling you how it is?

I feel like if I am putting the job of distributing my product in the hands of other companies, I am telling my customer: 'Use these people. We are trusting them, and so should you.'

You recommended them to us, and supplied them with your product. Whether or not you 'actually' did or didn't do whatever, you let them represent you.
    You went with them.

I mean, if the pizza delivery guy fails to deliver my pizza because of car trouble, am I expected to call the manufacturer of the car they drive because the pizza parlor doesn't work on automobiles?

When you sign on another company, or let another company do your work for you, they in essence become your employee. They're expected to do a job. They didn't do it. You agreed. Unless they robbed you, and sold your game without your say so. Which is weird of you to then agree to mention them and continue to allow them to sell and distribute the game.

    Freem.

First off I would recommend reading the posts more carefully, there is ALREADY a solution for your "outrage" on the table.

Second, it IS Zenimax's fault.....they allowed the retailer to take in more orders than they could physically provide boxes for and one time.

No, they are both at fault for this snafu, although I think Zenimax has more than Amazon given that other retailers have it quite the same, but only one company has the ability to make the situation right immediately and only one company really cares whether I subscribe to their game.

That's the company I want to respond to my concerns.

Since you ignored it the first time.

Why are you here? If you truly are a customer who could be playing the game right now, why are you spending all this time trying to make light of legitimate gripes of paying customers? Smell a corporate plant anyone???

I'm going to post an analogy I used in another forum about this issue
It's like going to a restaurant and getting an under cooked steak, and when you tell the server, they take it away, and never come back to your table. You know it most likely wasn't the servers fault, but After waiting an hour or 2 (in this case 2 days) you are going to start complaining about the service. The server might not have been at fault.. but they had better go back and make sure the situation is fixed as fast and effectively as possible.
You would also probably ask for a manager at that point and demand more compensation.
This would not mean that everybody in the restaurant deserved to get a free gift card to use in the future.
In the current situation ZOS is the only one capable of making amends, and they should step up, and do the right thing.

Not if they were told they would have X copies available and were not given enough.

All you are doing is arguing to argue and I would rather further the topic at hand and not quibble about things that really don't matter at this point.

I don't think they give a *** that those who are waiting for the shipment to arrive cant play due to not having a code. this is the response i got from customer support on the issue

I am really upset about this. I paid $100 to play this game. $100! And now I've been kicked from playing. It's shameful. We all already have early access codes, so why can't we play?

I was already upset because the game is not at all what I thought it would be, and was teetering on the edge of "Should I even keep playing? This kinda sucks." Looks like they made the decision for me!!

    C'mon, guys. Get it right.
