Bank Space Reset Sunday 4-6-2014 ~ 11:30pm Eastern

My bank space was reset sometime between 11:00pm and Midnight 4-6-2014.

After playing on my main for ~ 1.5 hours, I logged into an alt that I had started to level on the starter island (Khenarthi's Roost). That alt had originally been an "unleveled" character that had bypassed Coldharbor. That same alt had oddly lost access to the guild store since going to the starter island. Initially upon accessing the bank with the alt, only 4 blue items remained of the likely 50+ items that had shown as stored in the bank only moments ago on my main. Further the banks size had been reduced from 80 to 60.

When I logged to my other characters (including level 3 alts that had bypassed coldharbor, and my main) the items (or at least most of them) once again showed as being in my bank. Similarly when I logged back onto the alt leveling in Khenarthi's Roost, the initially missing items also showed up in my bank, but the bank size remained reduced.

My bank space was 80, it is now 60. I don't know if I lost any items.

I had been playing continuously for ~ 1-2 hours, only briefly logging between alts to store items.

At around the same time, I noticed I had been sent a second/duplicate round of bonus items (pets and treasure maps) via e-mail from customer appreciation.

This pretty much is exactly what happen to me. Along with the duplicate pet mails etc. Why did our banks get reset to 60 all of sudden? Can we get someone to revert them back to 80? I kinda feel jipped losing 5k on upgrades.

I also had this happen, and know another RL friend who had this happen.

I reported the duplicate mailed items as a bug and put in a ticket about the bank space.

Now I don't want to risk losing more gold expanding the bank space again, but it's pretty difficult to manage all the crafting mats as is.

Luckily I had just reorganised my bank space and only had 54 slots filled when it reset from 80 to 60, so I'm pretty certain I didn't lose any items.

I had raised my bank to 100 slots. I had almost 2k gold in the bank. I now have only 60 slots and the gold is missing. All of the other items were shoved into my bags. (Not sure if I lost any).

I put in a ticket but don't expect to hear back as they have yet to respond to a single ticket with anything other than auto generated emails.

This happened to me any many others (there are several threads on this topic, but apparently have been bounced a few pages here in the forums). I submitted a support ticket yesterday, and received a reply just after midnight from one of the support folks saying that "Molag Bal's minions" had somehow managed to get into the bank (all while I was listening to the banker tell me how no one can break into the vault).

Given that I had upgraded my bank space and had a bunch of gold deposited, I wasn't amused at the support team's attempt at humor. Let's just say that if the team doing the diagnosis (I'm getting the impression they have no idea what happened, as they didn't include what occurred as a test/use case) and remediation have this sense of humor, don't hold your breath on a fix anytime soon.

Out of curiosity, were you pre-order (e.g., you had to transition your account from FTP to subscription status)? It appears that just about everyone reporting this issue had been playing prior to the subscription requirement cutover, and folks who happened to have upgraded bank slots/gold got reset back to the 0/60 "default", with any items over 60 getting kicked into the inventory of toons with space. If all the toons are filled, they go into the ZOS nether. I'm assuming ZOS, perhaps dangerously, has the ability to restore based on snapshots/incrementals and either "fix" the bank/gold issue, or there are going to be many unhappy folks.

I did have early access. And it happened after I had redeemed my imperial edition codes with the transition from early access to subscription.

I would be happy getting the 4300 gold back and I'll upgrade the bank again. But I don't want to upgrade in the meantime.

I haven't even received an automated response for this ticket. I've always received responses for reporting gold spammers, but heard absolutely nothing about this. Though to be fair I am still enjoying the game and this is a relatively minor annoyance now I've got my professions under control.

I had this happen in beta, but hoped it'd get fixed by launch. Until they confirm it fixed, I'm not investing in a large bank space.

Add me to this list of unfortunate minion victims, still can't grasp them actually saying that. I really don't understand how they advertise & promote crafting in the game, yet shackle us to such ridiculously low upgrade slots in the bank, and the cost of them. I understand controlling/limiting a character's bag/inventory space, but why such expensive/low limits for bank space? For the price I think each upgrade should be at least 30 spaces. I do/have enjoyed the crafting, but starting to get little frustrated with inventory management while exploring. It's really starting to distract me from wanting to craft my own items, and I just started the game. Add to that the difficulty in trying to search and find items you need in the guild store, really makes perfect recipe for bad experience.

Extra items seem to have went to my bags until they filled. Extra items beyond that...gone.

Adding my voice to the clamour of victims, here. I was managing items on one of my mules and noticed that I couldn't see ANY of my banked items on that toon except the ring of Mara. Logged back on to my main and realized I was suddenly carrying one or two of the item stacks that should have been banked, and my 80 slots had gone down to 60. I was four or five items away from full last time I looked, so I've probably lost a lot of stuff. D=

What's weird is that this happened to my friend a couple days ago, but her stuff was restored when she'd simply relogged. I am not so lucky.

It just happened to me too. Reset from 80 to 60 with excess stuff spilled into my backpack (if I didn't lose anything). Bugged it and asked for a reply - nothing back yet of course.

Is anyone else imaging the banker from South Park here? "And we just put this in there and open this up annnd it's gone."

Hopefully this all gets straightened out, though.

Did they do a rollback?

Last night I had a guild member talk about the server having a rollback done some time earlier that day. Might want to find out if that happened.

If so, that could be why things were lost to so many.

I've just lost my extra space too. I had 100 spaces, now at 60. Getting a bit tired of the amount of bugs in this game. It's infuriating.

Is it possible that a rollback would have affected my account so late in the day? This is the first such issue I've experienced (though I do keep receiving duplicate mail for the preorder & Imperial Edition items).

This happened to me, too. Lost a ton of unique quest rewards and gear that I was saving to research, as well as 5,000 gold I had banked. Damn it. I can get the gold back, I'm more concerned about the quest rewards. I lost my vanity pets and whatnot, too, but those got resent to me as well, so...

Update: the items I lost have now turned up in my main's inventory, thankfully. The gold is still missing, but like I said, I'm not as fussed with that as I was the missing items.

This just happened to me a few minutes ago. I'd created a mule alt and was switching between characters to move stuff around. Second time I logged into my mule the bank was empty and back down to 60 slots. I also got the pre-order stuff again in my email. When I switched back to my main all the stuff in the bank was back (I think) but the 10 extra slots were still gone.

The exact same issue the OP had just happened to me 10 minutes ago, exactly the same and also my bank is back to 60, lost all upgrades and I have duplicate mail for all my CE, explore pack, pre-order and even the palomino horse and I can claim them all over again. (I had claim of of this already).

Exactly this ^^^ and at the same time.

Edit: I also crash 3 times in a row for no reason. all the same time the bug happen.

Yes, this is precisely what happened to me, but I had noticed the recurring preorder and Imperial Edition mail prior to the bank issue.

Seems this has been happening all day, at least. If everyone experiencing this has submitted bug reports and requests for assistance, they ought to address it pretty quickly.

So, as of patch notes for 1.0.4 implemented 4/18 this issue is fixed. Who is the be the 1st g-pig to test? I still haven't received a response to my bug post for this, so don't believe I will get reimbursed for the previous cost of 2 upgrades to bank (3K). Whoever brave sole is to test whether the fix works, please do tell
