Why as a Breton am I in the Aldmeri Dominion?

Why as a Breton am I in the Aldmeri Dominion? It didn’t really dawn on me when I was first leveling because I also played a Bosmer and I assumed having not played much beta that it was the starting zone for everyone. I also have a Argonian that was created on the first day ( 5 day early access) that also is in Auridon.

I don’t want to lose credit for the pvp ranks etc but I rather it was handled now then when I was level 50.

With the Imperial Edition, you may play whatever race you like in whatever Alliance. The default Alliance highlighted is the Aldmeri Dominion. I had the same thing happen to one of my characters, and I ended up having to re-roll.

You have the ability to create a character of any race in any of the alliances. When you create a character the game does not automatically change alliance based on what race you chose. This means that if the character creator defaulted to Aldmeri Dominion as the alliance selection and you picked Breton without also changing alliance, then bam, Breton in the Aldmeri Dominion.

Oh I assumed to do this you had to create an Imperial. I don't recall there being an option to chose and when I created another Breton the other day I was in the correct alliance.

Will this cause issues in the future are can I remain in the Aldmeri Dominion - I guess it would be a novelty.

Not just the Imperial Edition, anyone who pre-ordered can play in any alliance as any race. Imperial Edition allows for you to actually play as the Imperials too.

You have made a common mistake of not selecting your alliance before creating a character, thus you are put in the default alliance. Only solution is to re-roll if you really want to be in a different alliance.
