Suggestion for ZOS:
There is an urban legend that the Golden Vendor had a brother that went to sea to claim his fortune and glory. Not long after, his ship was boarded by pirates and he has not been heard of since.
Recently (when the sailing portion of ESO is implemented), there have been sightings of a Golden Pirate (or Corsair, Reaver, Marauder, etc) every weekend on the docks offering Crown Crates for a weekend only...
I think it would be fun if a new Golden Pirate was added to the game that would sell named Crown Crates over the weekend like his sister does, with a seafaring vibe.
- Only one type of crate per weekend (i.e Dark Brotherhood), and they would be purchased with Crowns
- It would have the full spread of items that the Crates provide like they would have if they were available in the Crown Store
- This would help alleviate the wait for when the Crown crates show up in the Crown Store (currently it can be one to two years before crates show up again).
- This would not impede with the normal rotation of the crates set in the Crown Store.
- This awards attentive players that might be watching for specific items coming back around in the Crate rotation.
Nice to have implemented:
I currently have bought all of the times that can be bought with Tome Points, and still have over 8k (and building) available with 7 Tome Point caches just sitting there. If would be nice if this Golden Pirate was implemented, that only on this special vendor available only during the weekend that items can also be purchased with Tome Points. I think it would be great to allow (at a minimum) furnishings, as well as styles for skills\armor\weapons\emotes that are only available in the Crown Crate should be purchasable using Tome Points as well during the weekend time limit. When the crates are available in the Crown store as normal, Tome points would not be able to used.
I think this would benefit both ZOS and the players.
