Unanswered Questions working incorrectly

Unanswered Questions shows ONLY questions with 0 answers on them but ignores the possibility that an "answer" was just a comment and not a real answer. Unanswered Questions should show questions with no answers which have been checked as satisfactory, with possibly a time-out where after 48 hours if the poster hasn't visited the question or selected one of the answers then it is removed from the list.
Currently Unanswered Questions is basically useless because people will either jump in with "me too!" or forget there is an edit button, so the question is lost forever. Makes it hard for helpful people to be helpful while keeping high-discussion/high-controversy posts burying actual questions.
