One benefit of actual tri-pots is that you can quickslot those as well as another variant of essence of health (eg. those that just restore health and magicka). You can't quickslot two variants of essence of health.

Ok, no, you're right. I must have made some kind of mistake last month when I tried, it would just replace the essence of health I had previously quickslotted.
