Is it normal for ESO to freeze for around 3 minutes after pressing "Login"?

Last month, I bought a new laptop (due to the previous laptop not qualifying for Windows 11) and ESO worked fine on it initially. But about a week or two ago, the game started to freeze for about 3 minutes every time I press the "Login" button (doesn't matter if the password was correct, incorrect or if I've been disconnected from the network) and occasionally it can't seem to establish a successful connection with the server, forcing me to try again and wait through another freeze. Any potential help is appreciated.

Specs, if they can help:
OS: Windows 11 Home 24H2
CPU: Intel i7-13650HX
RAM: 24GB
Storage: 1TB SSD (Internal, OS drive) + 2TB SSD (External, ESO installed on it)
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060

Try alt+tab back and forth, it seems like a visual glitch more of as it solves that for me since the last patch.

Didn't consider trying alt+tab. Will try that next time.
Usually once that issue occurs I close both the game and launcher and start the game directly from the eso64.exe

With the launcher out of the process, it starts perfectly fine.

Great it helped, so that's the same issue we having for sure, probably @ZOS_Kevin could pass it along.

Did so after the "freeze" went to the "disconnected from lobby" or something similar as an error, so considered it was a visual thing and I was logged in all that time, that's probably how it actually works with a screen freezing whilst the game runs as expected internally until it's somehow unfreeze minutes later if not tabbed out and back. That's also a remark for Kevin to possibly replicate the issue.

Pc my case, AMD based but Nvidia graphics, Win10.

Okay, so the Alt+Tab spamming only works when the game's been running for an extended period. On a fresh PC boot, it doesn't appear to switch back to ESO from Firefox or Discord. The freeze time seems to be a bit shorter that way though.

I just press the left mouse button that seems to kick it and it switches screens to the login screen from the splash screen and everything seems fine after that.

When that happens, and I decide to kill ESO via Task Manager, I always see the launcher and ESO itself using high CPU.
