What I'd Personally Like to See

I bought the imperial edition pre-order, the $80 dollar one, cuz I'm a huge Elder Scrolls nerd and I don't hate MMOs and the Beta was fun. I got to play 5 day early access, I was working during one of the big downtimes anyhow, I have no complaints. It's OK, it's not my first rodeo.

I knew there'd be bugs, it's fine. I was in the Anarchy Online launch, FFS! :P

But please, please please ZO; please get someone to tell us the state of things internally. I know the big MMO companies don't seem to like to be super-transparent, but I also played through the DAoC launch where we started off not getting information as quickly as I'd prefer, it was rough.

Please. It's been 24 hours since launch and the last big-message official word was "All Servers Are Online."

There's a vocal group that are having a bad launch. PLEASE give us a big announcement, an ETA on a big announcement, something other than "We hear your concerns, we're working on it." I an assistant manager at a motel, I can't get away with such vague assurances when we mess something up, and I think I deserve better to. Give us something to calm people down, please, so the forums can slow down and be a useful tool again. People are internet-panicking, which is different from regular panic because we all know it's silly, but when yer frustrated yer frustrated.

I don't think there are many people that expect flawless launches, I didn't and don't; personally, I just want more communication. I know it's hard, I really do.

@ZOS_GinaBruno, thanks again for being a face for all this stuff, and there was another rep something Jacobs I saw once but don't remember as well, obviously.

I can't hit the agree button any harder. Love the game when I can play it, completely understand that it's not flawless and will require a lot of downtime and fine-tuning to get things working right, but customer support leaves a lot to be desired. With issues as large as the ones I've been seeing everywhere, I think a little hand-holding during the crisis is not too much to ask. Hope you're listening, support reps! ESO isn't doomed to a failed launch but the silences do make it easier to interpret things that way. Proper timely explanations are almost always better than empty reassurances.

    Aldmeri Dominion: Kadigan, Bosmer Nightblade
    Let's be civil, shall we?

Yeah, if I didn't want the game to do well and have a healthy life cycle and BE THERE for me to play, I wouldn't be here in the forums right now, I'd just log in and play.
