As a potential player these 3 things are the issues I have

So I love elder scrolls and ESO I have been having a love hate relationship with. I feel the core of the game is in a good place. However there are issues at a core level.

1) The feel of combat, I have seen at this direct and from the year in letter they want to look into animations, visual effects etc. comparing the game to other games or mmos the game lacks punch, the animations lack weight and there isn’t any feedback even on controller like the option for vibration on impact or making use of controller haptics. As it stands it feels like you’re slapping thin air which to be fair most single player Elder scrolls games suffer with but it’s not good enough and with combat being a big portion of the game it needs work and it needed it long ago.

2) Overland difficulty is the most common complaint and I completely agree having everything scale takes the fun out of the exploration of new lands or dungeons. Having everything be on level just takes the fun out and makes it samey. I have many memories in other mmos where you would go somewhere you weren’t quite ready for and it was a thrill and a learning experience.

3) Guild systems are very antiquated, my main MMO being FFXIV (Which even that I’m on a break from long term) has vastly better guild integration. The process of buying and selling through guilds is so painfully dated. Sure it’s nice seeing guilds fight for store fronts in cities but the navigation of menus and looking for items is horrid.

There are other factors like content types, end game or pvp issues that need to be addressed but those 3 things alone would just take me from a dip in and out every few years to a I’m going to play this game often sort of situation.
