I got stuck at one of the steps because the game told me to go through a portal before telling me to pick up an item. Couldn't find my way back, and had to abandon the quest. I wasted 30+ minutes of my time.
Dear ZOS, if you're going to force us to do something we don't want to do, as it is the only way to unlock things that we need in the game, the least you can do is put some thought into its design. When you're not too busy adding or "fixing" things in the game that literally no one has asked for, please revisit some of these decisions you've made. Scribing, psijic order, mages guild... All things that are very poorly designed.
