Apparently some of the data files in the game folder could not be patched on my PC because windows had them flagged as open by another app, which were an older version of the launcher.
So maybe a cold start of a PC will help with the problem. I personally uninstalled the game, removed all data after a cold start and then redownloaded the game and now it works.

same problem since 14:00 gmt+1 , that means for 4,5 hours !!!! , i repaired twice , nothing worked.

Repair of the client solved my problem, for some reason simple reopening was not enough, it just failed to detect any patch. Now I'm online, thanks ^_^

where did you find it? I don't even have a repair option under my options tab.

Had this issue for the last few days. I fixed it by deleting the locales and program directorys inside Zenimax>Launcher. I restarted the launcher, it downloaded around 600mb and then worked for me.

Thanks, that did the trick for me. Unfortunately I need an access code now and it seems there´s a problem sending them.....

I started to DL the patch. But at 60% it gave me a error saying that something was running that it needed to patch (nothing was running except the patcher) I repaired then it happened again. I am repairing again and I hope this works. I haven't been able to play with all of these hiccups for almost three days now. I am trying to be patient but it is wearing thin...

You have to repair your game files. In the launcher, before you click play... there's a cog wheel with the words Game Options next to it, right above the news feed, not the cog wheel in the very top right of the window. Click that and choose repair, it will verify all files and dowload the patch which wouldn't normally update on it's own.

I have repaired three times now. It always stops when it needs to patch at 60% saying something is running.

I'm going to uninstall and reinstall. Such a pain.
