Actually both fantasy and design/story and discovery. And no, I didn't do the GMP - I know quite well what sort of gamer I am.

    FASHION SCROLLS FOREVER

    :D

Seriously though, my games are the ones I can dive in, spend a full day on character creation, and then come up three weeks later and not knowing what day it is.

In ESO terms, I'm not driven by the story as much since an MMO can't possibly give me all of the options that I get in something like BG3 (I miss my racial dialogue!). But ESO does let me plan characters and their backstories intricately, and I very much enjoy that. I just need more classes now because I have a few more ideas that really are straining to be realized.

    Fashion is my passion.

I think most of my characters have 4+ outfit slots. It's the biggest reason I have so many alts.

I do love exploring and build experimenting, but I need my drip to be right before I do.

hard to answer as i likely fall under several categories lol

i think the best option for me is "completion" as you need aspects from many of the other categories to complete most or all of the content

I'd say it's a mix between "fantasy and design" and "story and discovery" - typical roleplayer, focused on story, world building, immersion, exploration, and of course detailed character customization to play the person I have in mind. Since my main interest in exploring a different world and customization is more or less a means to fit into it, I chose the latter.

Actually I filled that survey accordingly (a Telvanni has to keep himself busy while waiting for his tea water to boil, after all), but I get this result:

    3wvadrkpgie8.png

While I also play real-time strategy at times, I'm mostly a roleplayer, so the first one doesn't seem to fit at all (funny thing, in that Myers-Briggs/16 Personalities thing I did once I was an "Architect" too), and the second is also surprising, because I literally gave no hint at being interested in any multiplayer content in any way (answered all questions related to social activities with "desinterested"). Lore, stories, customization - all fine, but "social" should be at 0%.

    So much for that test.

OK, you got me. I took the survey and it did not help me select a poll option. :p

Your primary (dominant) player type is the Gladiator.

Gladiators are competitive gamers who are more likely to identify as hardcore, and they want games to engage them using a broad spectrum of features. They are looking for an epic, skill-based experience in the games they play.

Gamer Type Motto: "Dedicated, Hardcore Gaming."

Your Gamer Motivation Profile: Action-Oriented, Persistent, Driven, Social, Grounded, and Practical

This is an accurate profile of me but doesn't match to a poll choice. "Broad spectrum of features" is key to keep my interest.

But in terms of ESO, most of my gameplay is motivated by me tinkering with builds and set ups. While exploring the world and doing quests to learn stories.

Only partly right. Yes, I'm primarily a solo gamer, but "plan and build something grand and enduring" doesn't fit me at all.

My top two motivations were Immersion and Achievement. Top two secondary motivations were Completion and Fantasy.

In any event, I primarily enjoy playing games with a strong story (regardless of genre), and yes, while I enjoy achievement hunting, I'm not a completionist. Some achievements are ridiculous, and there's no way I'd play the same game 15 times to see all endings or play at all difficulties or whatever. I only go for achievements I care about and are reasonable.

Years ago I took another one of these types of surveys and it was more accurate in that it pegged me as a gamer that's primarily into story and exploration. That fit me perfectly at the time, and still does.

It’s difficult to pick just one of those options, so I chose the one that implies the broadest range of in-game activities.

I consider myself to be “casually serious and seriously casual,” or midway between casual and serious.

My goal is to have fun existing within and exploring the game world, which includes just about everything from harvesting resources, to PvE questing and fighting mobs and bosses, to PvP warfare.

Tricky choices. I like a good story, but I like the chance to make up my own. Games than have a fixed outcome no matter what you do don't appeal, no matter how well-written that story was. I want to participate, not just be a spectator. On the other hand, my character is not me. They are themselves, and I am an observer, or mentor at most.

Somewhat accurate, if a tad generic, save for the "Fantasy" part, which they describe as follows:
"Fantasy (35%): Gamers who score high on Fantasy want their gaming experiences to allow them to become someone else, somewhere else. They enjoy the sense of being immersed in an alter ego in a believable alternate world, and enjoy exploring a game world just for the sake of exploring it. These gamers enjoy games like Skyrim, Fallout, and Mass Effect for their fully imagined alternate settings. "
Well, Skyrim and the FO and ME series are among my favorites so I have no idea why it scored low. Whatever.

    zqu25dflcslu.png

Also I ended up being a Gladiator/Architect which would sound somewhat right if not for the fact that the examples of favorite game series they've included for each archetype are wholly unknown and/or undesirable to me, and my favorite series lie under other archetypes.

    p5ikmt704w78.png

Still, I could've wasted some 5 minutes in worse ways. Such as taking yet another Myers–Briggs'.

I guess for me exploring my beloved TES World is what is most important to me. Story is also importamnt but I don't need a quest everywhere. Bethesda had nice World building with enviromental stpry telling and with the great lore behind the TES games I played, those beeing TES 3-5. For me exploring that world getting my own adventure making a place in that world for myself is all I care about. Sadly the limitations of an MMORPG often are in the way of my fun. And some choices had negative lasting effects on the game lore and story wise. Others on the gameplay and immersion.

Lately I have canceled my sub since I did not feel I got my moneys worth of what I wanted, but I hope the game will offer me some nice things to change my mind in the future.

Somewhat accurate but not quite. Action is at 73, social is 89, mastery 93 and creativity 96. Immersion is interesting as fantasy is at 35 while story is at 92.

Personally it depends for me from game to game, mainline TES are one thing and ESO is the complete other for example. Or Path of Exile being complete sweat whilst D2 is very casual campaign runs. Even within the game I was a completionist here but AWA and Tales made me change that aspect for my own good leaving the TES world and challenging group content. And decline of writing made it to only really caring for dungeons. Though the World is important still, just way more selective on my end to what I'd consider a legitimate canon and what I'd better forget or dismiss.

Your primary (dominant) player type is the Architect, but you also lean towards a secondary player type, the Acrobat.

Architects are solo gamers that enjoy planning, decision-making, and progression. They prefer slow-paced, relaxing gameplay where they can plan and build something grand and enduring.

Acrobats are solo gamers who primarily want to take on challenging gameplay and they want to practice over and over again until they can take on the most difficult missions and bosses in the game.

The second part is not correct in ESO context. What I meant is, if I play chess and I know all the rules, I don't mind learning from a loss. But I actually dislike when the only way to discover the rules is by playing and I fail because of that.
Please stop making requests for game features. ZOS have enough bad ideas as it is!
