For treasure chests, you can just do dolmens. The chest at the end counts. I like doing it that way because I can level up companions or alts at the same time. Also, I think the shell trove from the abyssal geysers count too, or at least it did when I did one this morning for the daily. Haven't tried the lava vent or harrowstorm end reward.

The chests in the Infinite Archive count as well. A 2-arc run just netted me 15 chests. Depends on the side portals, of course.

I will do treasure chests in areas where I need leads that drop from treasure chests, as well as grabbing any treasure chests I find along the way when doing other stuff.

Dhalmora crafting and bank area is great because of how crazy fast the 10 or so lockboxes spawn there, but it's a pretty popular spot so you'll probably be competing with others.

There are 10 Chests that can spawn in Lady Llarel's Shelter, and it's a super short dungeon. You also get the bonus of Mother's Sorrow stuff dropping from the Chests and boss there, which is nice to sell.

If you're on PC and want to use it, there's also an addon called HarvestMap that will mark where various things are like mat nodes, Chests, Thieves Troves, Heavy Sacks, Fishing Holes, and so on. You can turn filters on and off so if you only want it to show Chests and nothing else, you can disable all the other pins and only be shown on your map and/or compass where Chests are. You *do* need to download files compiled from other players (Minion iirc has a link where you can download files for each zone/DLC area/whatever) and then put them in the HarvestMap folder so it has that coordinate info to pull from if you want to have immediate pins, but if you don't do that, it will store coordinate info as you find/interact with nodes, so you can build the info up yourself, it'll just...take longer lol.

I saw the treasure chest endeavour and thought "great way to clear my inventory of all these treasure maps!"

...and then proceeded to run around starter zones getting lockboxes, thieves troves and chests for half an hour instead. Oh well.. Next time, for sure!

Aside from farming dolmens to improve my rapport with Bastian and level him up, I'll probably pick a zone or two where my stickerbook is still missing some overland set items and farm treasure chests in the public dungeons there.
I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!

That's cuz it's a pile of dirt, not a chest.

If a geyser shell is enough of a chest to count, I’m not sure why a Harrowstorm pile of dirt is a mound too far. They’re both functionally the same thing: containers that give loot for completing a world event. The shell trove shows that the mesh the loot container uses shouldn’t matter.

This one was super easy to accomplish with a bunch of treasure maps I had lying about. And while I was traveling around zones and digging these up, I found regular treasure chests on the way! Tho I'd advice people to save their DLC treasure maps for the Pan-Tamriel event, at least the ones that drop leads. Base game ones have such high chance of dropping leads anyway it's pretty much a painless solution.

Also, if you feel like leveling your companions or getting some sweet champion points while hunting for treasure chests, you can go to any Craglorn group delve - these instances reset on their own (while you're still inside), and you can find an endless stream of treasure chests, guaranteed at least one per each run. Some group delves are perfect for running loops, some are more finicky. The treasure chests from these delves also have a chance to drop ancient sandstone which is an expensive style mat! And on top of that, you might get lucky and drop fortified/potent nirncrux!

West Weald humanoids, just farm the quarry on the south side of Ontus. Lots of humanoids there. :)

Found out the hard way that vampires are not considered humanoid, even though they were before they became vampires. Or some Sutch nonsense (pun intended).

Easily done in less than 30 minutes farming treasure chests, lockboxes and Thieves Troves. And any chest from dolmens, geysers, etc. counts as well. I just hopped on my high speed NB and got it done quickly. Killing 200 humanoid foes in West Weald takes a bit of time esp now with people out there farming them. But "chests" are everywhere.
