Still guys, it's not nice to treat your early-access customers as if they were still in beta.
Early access = we assume your game is fully fledged and ready to run, and is for all intents and purposes, launched. More than that, we preorder your game because we TRUST that it will be fully fledged and ready to run by early access time. Not cool to prove us wrong.
It's bad enough that after having years to launch the game properly, you are late for establishing European servers in Europe. But alright, I can accept that infrastructure is costly, long to put in place and the chain of custody is bad enough that delays are unavoidable.
But HOW can you prevent half of your player base from playing at the ONLY time they are able to do so?
I am not talking about your pulling all-nighters for our sake (and I guess many of you are doing so anyway right now, thank you for that btw), I am just questioning your timing.
Seriously. Schedule maintenance when people are not yet back from work. Do it when they've had time to play for a couple hours. Don't do it when people are waiting to unwind from a long day before a game they did now (as opposed to the beta) pay to play.
DISCLAIMER: I realize that customers in NA are having similar issues with server downtime, so don't go all "we don't give a c... about EU" on me, but I'm obviously talking about my side of the issue because that's all I can observe.
