we need a mute function for other players using the /headache emote, being used to troll big time

The /headache emote is rapidly becoming the the most frequently used thing to troll people with. It's especially annoying when the person using the emote is also using the molog bal polymorph.

Can we please get a mute /headache option? Nobody should have to endure one player following them around using this emote, and if there are two or three players doing it it's just time to log out or mute the game entirely.

The devs should have had the foresight to see how the /headache emote would be capitalized on by the trolls in game.

Stalking is against code of conduct, record and report them.
2.3 You may not harass, threaten, intentionally humiliate, “stream snipe”, “name and shame”, engage in acts of “griefing”, or cause distress to another user, guest, or ZeniMax staff member/teams using ZeniMax sites and Services. This includes but is not limited to verbal attacks (both text and voice chat), unwanted messaging, personal attacks, stalking or any other undesired behavior used to cause discomfort or disrupt another user’s experience.

I’ve had people straight up harass me. I would block them and they would message me from an alt account.

I reported it and nothing happened. There seems to be lots of instances of banning for no reason while other justifiable banning never happens.

Lol after 6.000+ hours I've never seen that kind of troll (not doing alot of PvP so maybe it explains it).

I don't get how ppl can be that sensitive (no offense) and be really pissed when a dude is trolling lol.

It reminds me a few years ago when I got reported for throwing mudballes two times on a dude that was playing an instrument (and it was sounding rly bad).

And no, I didn't throw more than two mudballs on him (that's why the warning got cancelled). And I precise that the dude didn't ask me to stop it in chat.

That's an MMO... I don't get why some ppl are so mad when other mates are having fun with emotes/mementos/etc. That's just funny. I can get it when it comes to insult/toxicity in chat... But for an emote... Come on.

No thanks. Making us set up a youtube account just to report players, then taking the time to make and post the recordings is putting all the onus of policing the trolls on the player base instead of doing what ZOS should, which is give us options to improve the ESO experience on our own end without having to file a ticket with videos that takes hours and then ZOS may or may not (usually not) take action on.

Exactly. I had YouTube, Twitch, and Discord accounts; patiently recorded and documented the constant harassment, griefing and stalking incidents, then reported them with all of the evidence and documentation. All I got in return was the sound of crickets chirping.

*waves* Is the stalker still in game? I haven't had issues like that in ESO, but did in WoW - and while I did report and ignore, CS never told me what happened if anything, and I think that's the case here too. Of course, if the stalker got actioned, and stopped, that's one thing. If the action was to ban an account, s/he likely just made a new one....

Unfortunately, yes - the stalkers are still in-game because they consist of the population of two guilds that I and hubby used to belong to. We saw some things in guild / zone chat from them that we didn't really like, so we left. No drama, no long explanations, we just said "hey, have fun - we're not comfortable here anymore, so we're leaving." We even left some materials, crafting plans, and gold in the guild as good-bye gifts! For some reason, those guilds (and their associate / "sister" guilds) are determined to interfere with my gameplay no matter what I'm doing. It's bizarre.

Wow. That IS bizarre. I guess they must not have anything better to do in game? Jeez. Doesn't leave you many options.... playing offline primarily. What a crock!

    Yes.

Players should have more ways of dealing with the in game trolls than the extensive and mostly ineffective current requirements for reporting their bad behavior. Doing so would also reduce the number of tickets that are piling up for ZOS employees to deal with.

Every emote, memento, etc should allow blocking if a player wants.
Not everyone likes all of them.
I especially hate that ugly solo horn.
With my hearing issues it's just a nasty, cranky, brassy noise.

Allow players to do something like:
    /Emote name block
    Gone....yay!
This would stop a lot of griefing opportunities for those people who's version of "fun" and "playing the game how they like" is to harass others.

Isn't emote part of chat system and therefore should be possible to filter from chat fitter to not show other players using emote?

Anyway if en emote makes sounds why not have some kind of slider to reduce impact of sound effects related to emote in audio settings?

    @reazea

Have you tried to use equalizer settings on your computers audio system? There is a free software from SteelSeries that you can download and adjust audio which might reduce the sound effect from that emote?

You don't need to own any SteelSeries product or even have an account on SteelSeries to use Sonar part of that package (it have more feature to control SteelSeries products like keyboard, mouse and headset).

What it does it give you tools to adjust sound/audio before it will be sent to your output device (headset or speaker system). With Sonar you can tweak how close or far sound should sound (it increases also how "strong" sound will sound) and it could help to filter out some sound by making them sound weaker. As an example voice can become almost filtered down or become more clear depending on which pre set you pick. I would suggest you try it out to see if it can help you to just ignore those emote.

True. I find it baffling that people waste so much time and energy in trying to make a fun game a miserable experience for others. I'm glad that I'm not those people, and I'm still playing so their efforts are for naught!

This, now I had trolls trying to spoil social events in guild, jumping around in the underwear casting spell, nowdays they probably mount and unmount their flashy mounts or use stuff like the coldharbor recall and cancel it.
This I say is something who should be reported after telling them to stop.

But people doing trumpetsolo or throw mudballs while waiting for an world boss or something.
As for people having these problem they either ran into some very weird guilds / groups or its an me problem.
