ESO launcher - could not load news

I just noticed (for the first time ever) that the ESO launcher's news panel showed nothing except the message "Could not load news". Anyone else seen this?
It's reproducible. I restarted the launcher, and saw the same behaviour.

✭✭✭✭✭I see that quite often, and have done so for years-- especially when playing on my MacBook Air for some reason; not so much on my Windows PC, but on occasion. It doesn't seem to affect the game client, although it may possibly indicate a momentary data traffic jam on your internet or home network. [Edit: Or maybe a problem with the launcher not being able to retrieve the "latest news feed" or whatever from the game servers.] IIRC, I once read in these forums that if you're experiencing certain issues while playing ESO, ZOS actually recommends closing the ESO launcher once you've successfully launched the game.Edited by SeaGtGruff on May 8, 2024 4:41AMI've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!1 -
