Any chance of improving Ayleid King lead drop rates?

I'd love to use this mythic but I'm about to give up.

Supposedly drop rates were improved after maintenance but I'm still getting squat. I've lost all enthusiasm for this mythic and I now despise IA. The curation system for set farming was a godsend. Would be lovely if something similar was implemented for mythic leads. Or at the very least don't make us grind the same thing over and over for ALL FIVE LEADS lol.

The Grinding will continue until morale improves.
Surely you have gotten some furnishing drops to salve the wounds? Nothing quite like getting a furnishing you can list for 100's of thousands of gold.

I have all the gold I need plus 50mil+ AP that I can convert into gold at any time. Just want the mythic.

the first copy of the leads for this for me was incredibly easy, 3 lead drops in 1 arc 1 clear, and 2 lead drops in an arc 4 clear

havent gotten a 2nd copy of any of them just yet but working on farming other things at the moment lol

Insanity lol. I lost count of how many runs I've done and only 2 leads so far.

Have you been scrying them as you get them? I found they all dropped for me my first week doing IA and I scryed as I finished my runs

Yep the two I've gotten I scried and dug them up right away.

Do you have many other leads scryable (besides the always available greens)? I think there is some limit or at least the frequency decreases, not sure at what point, but when I’m looking for a lead, I try to clear out my queue.

when i got my mythic lead drops from the archive, i literally had about 25 unscried leads mostly yellows (probably 1/3 to 1/2 from the archive because i dont need them anymore)

before they fixed the expire timers on leads you had dug up before, i at one point had close to 45-50 leads sitting in my queue because i didnt need to do them, and never affected my drop chances to get other leads

even choosing to dig up the leads as you get them does not influence drop rates on leads

tl;dr: # of leads you have unscried does not influence lead drop rates from any source

I've been playing IA to get the mask style page and collect the soulcleaver set, arc 1 only and sometimes arc 2 up to the first marauder appearance, it took about 2 weeks of 1 or 2 runs a day, while doing that I got 4 out of 5 Ayleid King leads, was actually surprised that so many of them kept dropping. I think they mostly came from side-mission chests though, or the scamps during cycle boss fights. The scamps don't appear often though, and the side-missions get harder.

for leads? yeah

for cases where there are multiple leads that come from a single source, regardless if you do or do not have other leads from the pool, it wont affect your chances

for a lot of things, if it rolls a drop you cannot get, its basically the same as getting no drop at all

so like archive, which has like 15-20 lead drops now (5 for the mythic plus the 15 or so that were there before), if you get 1 lead it doesnt remove it from the pool and make other leads more likely to drop in my experience

i got all of the codex entries for the original archive leads, so i dont even bother digging up those anymore, i still get them and they just sit in my unscried list for 30 days until they expire at which point i would get them again, but it doesnt influence my ability to get any one particular lead from the archive just because i have it unscried in my list, it is not removed from the drop pool, it just doesnt give me the lead in the loot if i already have the lead it was going to roll

when i got the mythic leads, i had almost none of the original archive leads in my list because it had been awhile since i did any long archive runs to get a lot of the drops

leads are all RNG and thats about it, some people are just lucky with them, and from what ive seen people report on the forum, some are not lol

in my experience with leads, usually the first drops are pretty easy to get, but the 2nd/3rd drops are much worse

the only leads which are truly horrible are the treasure map ones, as theres no real way to "farm" them

I just did Arc 1 & 2 every other day on a squishy DPS, and they dropped pretty fast (before they apparently buffed the droprate). I did every side portal and killed the marauder. I didn't even realize I'd collected all 5 pieces when the notification came up. Good luck with your drops! Running with someone always makes it go faster : P

Hmm, I had read that in the forums and then I suppose experienced confirmation bias when I put it into practice in game. 🤔

Do you do all side portals? That is where all the decent drops come from (Gw and Marauders too, but they were not too generous for me lately).

Yep completing everything I come across.

Planning to download dragons dogma 2 tomorrow. Maybe I'll have a renewed vigor for IA farming after a reprieve.

I think the leads drop most often from the side portal chests. I wasn't getting any when playing solo because I've completed every side challenge except the last level of Aramril, so that's the only one that ever pops for me, and I can't get past it.

Once I grouped up with a player who still had other challenges uncompleted, I got 2 leads within 2 arcs.

I've run IA through Arc 1 + 2 over 25 times but I've had no luck so far on getting any of the leads. I've been doing side portal chests / GW and Marauders too but haven't had any luck. Does anyone have the same issue as me? I'm a bit conflicted as some people are saying that they got all the leads very quickly and I'm wondering if I haven't met a certain condition for the leads to drop / am not approaching this the right way. Do the leads only drop on later arcs?

no, ive gotten 3 leads for the mythic in a single arc 1 run before

its RNG, always has been

Huh? I thought the drop rate was low, I got all 5 leads just doing IA normally within two or three days. And I normally don't go past arc 3.
