[Suggestion] Choice of character select background

I think would be cool to be able to choose which background you want to have displayed on the character select screen, from the latest one to previous ones.

We can pick old music, so why not background too. Let people pick their favourite background, so we are not forced to have one we loathe. No matter if that's spashed with orange juice or standing in mushrooms.

I'm still also hoping for my 'random' music option as well.

I get the CSS being designed to hype the new chapter, and this is definitely prettier than the last one (with the pizza mushroom that everyone talks about), it's really just the harsh lighting washing out my character that annoys me. If it had lighting that allowed me to see my character's colors, I'd be fine with it.

Still really miss my OG snowy landscape though.

I'd love if we could have a selectable CSS.

Actually, my most favorite option would be if we could have all of our characters standing next to each other. I'd much rather get one of those lineup-style ones to see my main standing next to (and being totally dwarfed by) my secondaries

I love the new background. I don't want it to be changed.
But I vote with both hands for background select option.

Firstly, it might save some people that I believe feel uncomfortable with new gamma.
Secondly, it would allow me to keep current background if I don't like the next one.
Total win-win.

I would like to use the pre Summerset Aldmeri Dominion background. If i remember right there were a small river in the back. Auridon styled details in the front. So i hope they will allow this in the future.

I want to use Khajitti backgrounds for my characters! (I can't remember if Elyswer had a background when that released or not)

Being able to select a fitting background for every character sounds amazing! I like the new one though a lot, too

IIRC the first background update for character screen was for Greymoor chapter.

Till that we had alliance based backgrounds. So no separate back for Elsweyr unfortunately.

what a nice idea

could be a choice between :

last chapter background (default)
alliance based background

designers team wouldnt have more work, since it already exists, only the coders for UI in menus to add this option as a selectbox

Same, but they're always going to push the latest DLC by making you look at it behind your characters on the selection screen.

It's a marketing tool that I don't see them voluntarily giving up.

We can already chose the music that plays in the main menu so why not character background ?

Going even further, it could be "per character" choice and maybe even some kind of cosmetic customization.

This is a nice idea but as always it demands work hours and investment by ZOS to make it happen.

Alas, I don't think this will be viable at short time. MAYBE, in the next upgrade is ZOS decide to do it.
