It's not exactly monster shoulder boxes, but The Golden vendor that shows up on weekends regularly sells monster shoulder pieces for gold.
What I would do as a gold sink is just increase the trader listing fees dynamically (i.e. when the gold supply in game goes up, so do the fees).
I would also replace the current guild trader system with a global auction house (with fees related to item sale prices) to reduce the divide between the "haves" (i.e. members of trading guild that regularly get big city traders, and who therefore get rich off of the current system) and the "have nots" (everyone else, who goes broke off of the current system), but that's more of a QoL improvement than an inflation remedy.

Buying something expensive from another player on a guild trader is NOT a gold sink. A gold sink removes gold from the economy.

But it is a sink. A tax based sink.
Because the sink is % based, the higher the value of the listing and sale price the more gold is removed. That's an effective sink.Compound this by the pure volume of sales on the server, and its pulling a massive amount of gold out of the system overall.

Transactions between players through a guild trader is a gold sink, and removes gold from the game.

housing seems to already be a gold sink due to all the houses and furnishings we can buy with gold.
some achievement and luxury furniture costs 100k+
and 4 houses cost nearly 4 million gold.
Plus nearly every year we get a 1 million gold house like Water's Edge and Emissary's Enclave.
this year probably Rosethorn Hall in Skingrad.
