Mobilize your forces, granting Major Expedition to you and your group, increasing your Movement Speed by 30% for 8 seconds. Attacks from behind deal 15% less damage while this effect persists.
New effect
Attacks made against you from behind deal less damage while this effect persists.

I never actually read this. I wonder in Really high damage areas as a tank you could pop it and turn around. Plus trying to rez someone while taking extreme damage. I am gonna have some fun with this.

I have always had Charging Maneuver and had not looked in ages.

Assuming a staple in PVP. Not a PVP'er so not sure.

They may make it for "player damage only", but if not--then I'd easily slot it as a tank/healer.

This "New effect" is already how it works today. You take 15% less damage from any players or monsters behind you.

In PvP, it works well on a Stam Sorc with low max health, high max stamina running 2H or Ice Staff backbar because spamming Race Against Time every 4 seconds requires at least (1 mag recovery line + 1 light) or (0 mag recovery line + 2 light). This isn't ideal on wd/sd and crit damage builds so running Retreating Maneuver can be a better option since Dark Deal refunds most of the cost anyways.

Just keep in mind that it’s a 90-degree back cone, not the full 180 degrees. If something is attacking you from behind but to your right or left (back flank), it won’t offer that protection.

I can confirm this is correct.

I just verified in game that Retreating Maneuver is a 90 degree cone from behind. However, I also tested Camouflaged Hunter and it's a full 180 degrees behind the player. So if you attack a player from the side but a few degrees behind, it will proc Camo Hunter's Minor Berserk. You must move within the 90 degree cone directly behind the player for the damage mitigation to take effect.

    Thanks for the diagram!

Camo Hunter is actually a 270-degree cone because "flank" covers the back, left, and right 90-degree cones. It only doesn't work in the front 90-degree cone.
