Seriously though, you shouldn't get hate mail, report those. Nobody deserves that in a game even if you were the worst player ever (which I doubt). Some people need to get therapy if they are taking it that seriously where they need to be abusive to someone else.

I do now. I have been told in the past to self-harm in a permanent sense. It happens all the time when I PvP and some of the time when I am doing random normals.

ESO does seem to have quite a bit of people that take this game way too seriously. So, they end up acting pathetically. And this extends to some of the 'content creators' as well. One of them, obviously more skilled player than I, likes to target me. Why? I don't know exactly but I can only guess that the person is trying to get a rise out of me over a disagreement on a forum post few months ago (something I have forgotten until the person did the petty act over my dead character's body and saw @name of). So yeah, who knew playing ESO was a serious business, not a game to be played for fun? Ideally, you should brush off these attacks as pathetic behavior from pathetic people that need to attack people to compensate something from their lives. But if this harrassment impedes you from enjoying the game, you should try to report with those mails, behaviors on your character's body recorded as evidences. ZOS do take harrassment seriously last I heard.

Yeah I was discouraged at the time from some of my friends from reporting it because I was told nothing would be done. I now have better courage of my convictions and feel right in reporting them but at the same time don't want to PvP anymore because of this stuff. I just don't want to see it. I am rather sensitive and am hyper-emotional due to mental illness. But it leaks into other stuff too and I have definitely met toxic PvEers. One time I was trying to get my last symphony of blades monster helm and joined into a group at second to last boss and they were immediately toxic with me. They were yelling contradictory orders at me as the healer to do things I couldn't even do. The thing is that I know now that I am a much better healer that the problem wasn't my healing, it was them standing in stupid, the tank not blocking and everyone ignoring mechanics.
Either way though I definitely want the title, unironically. I would love to walk around with it. Maybe it could even be a title you get for putting a certain amount of hours into the game. Kinda going off the whole "Gamer Musk" thing.

Yeah, unfortunately... these days, many people grew accustomed to standing in the mechanics in normal difficulty dungeons and fail to notice that in vet level, it will 100% kill them. But as petty as some people goes, never their fault. Toxicity knows no bound tbh because petty people exist in every aspect of the game and they will project to others.

Honestly I don't really think that you can get away with it on normal depth of malatar. It's a pretty hard one. I feel like they were carried hard when they did get it.
DarthCuddlefluff wrote: »So I made a post a while back on the PvP forums this which I will recap and add to here because it's spreading.
A while back my main used to be EP and I started trying to do Cyrodiil which I wasn't very good at. This was at the time when EP was dominating Cyrodiil. Well slowly over time I got more "fan mail" about how much I sucked and why I should uninstall or hurt myself in some way and I noticed the same people I used to run with all switching to DC. I thought that the tides of PvP were just changing and I switched to DC after a few months of waiting to confirm it wasn't just my imagination that it was changing. Withing a month of switching my toon to DC Suddenly everyone was going to AD and they started winning hard. I would switch to AD but I think we all know what would happen if I did.
But it doesn't stop there. More and more in arenas and random normals people see me and quit. They literally leave mail about it.
Given that I alone make the kids move to the other side of the bus I want some sort of compensation for avoiding The Room with the Moose (google "room with the moose invader zim if you don't understand what I mean). I am The Source of the Smell and if everyone avoids me because I stink anyway (and because I probably caused some alliance change sales) I am making this post to formally request this as a title. I want "The Source of the Smell" as a title.

He looks proud of it too.
I don't PVP a whole lot. When I do, I always seem to encounter some degree of toxicity. I'm not looking forward to dealing with the spam of green Kamehamehas either, although I'll probably just "if you can't beat 'em join 'em" and run that on my own Arcanist. It's quite fun to do, admittedly.
But sending mean tells or mails? Not cool, ever. It's rare I send the first tell, but it is always in situations I found amusing, like when simultaneous attacks killed both of us.
Still, I could see that title being something from Peryite. They seem to be teasing some further exploration of the Pits, as well as possibly Vaermina's Quagmire (this is just based on the whole Bastion Nymic having three bosses themed on Peryite, Vaermina and Hermaeus Mora).

You’re not seriously suggesting that people disband guilds, switch alliances, or quit BGs just because of seeing you, are you? I can’t imagine what I would have to do to earn that kind of reaction without getting banned from the game altogether.
Having said that, hate whispers or mails are not okay. Besides, they usually reflect more on the author. I remember someone in IC whispering me what a loser I am to gang up on and kill someone half my CP. I had a good chuckle since I was running alone and then reminded them that we were in a no-CP campaign…
That’s exactly my point: It’s coincidental and has nothing to do with you.DarthCuddlefluff wrote: »And likely it's all coincidental but I want this title to be a thing.

Titles in ESO are related to ESO achievements. There are no achievements for being insulted or avoided by other players and I hope there never will be.

That's a fair point, but I think that the title should be in the game anyway.

This title would have to reflect something the player accomplished. What would that accomplishment be?

I suggested before it could be related to play time.
