ESO Vaemina Mythos Fight

I have gone into this fight probably over 8 times with two different characters at different levels, last was a 835 Champion Warden Archer. I get slaughtered in under 1 minute and I am being generous with the time scale. Most of the time I think it is 45 seconds or less.

My last trip was with my 835 Champion Point Warden, I figured my other character must have something wrong with it. I have custom made armor and it is pretty darn good.

My health is 34000+, I wear two complete sets of armor to maximize bonus', I think 12,000 plus shield kicks in if I get too weak. Yet when I go into this battle I end up running for my life, taking a potion to keep me alive, and I rarely get a chance to use Ghost Vision.

I have played every DLC except multiplayer dungeons and this is the only DLC I have never been able to complete after 2860 hours.

I have a thread on Steam and another player who has 5000 hours of playing time has the same problem. I guess neither one of us knows why this particular fight baffles us.

One thing I forgot to mention.

I am not very mobile on the battlefield. When you have crappy hands punching the correct keys to move around can be a chancy affair. So I normally hit W and point the mouse and run. When I feel brave I might hit A or D and try to miss some incoming damage.

Basically the main body becomes invulnerable (see the shield) and starts spawning clones. Defeating the clones helps to bring down the shield on the main body. So focus on the clones.

In this case, the clones shoot beams which travel in a straight path and linger for a while. I remember being able to interrupt the clones to end their lasers early, which allowed some space to move away. Use Bash or crushing shock or some such to interrupt in turn.Keybinding thru controls your interrupt (bash) to one key is always a good idea.

You also need to use ghost sight, otherwise you're only doing 10% damage. When the NPC tells you, find the circle on the ground and activate it (maybe up your gamma or bloom to see it?) The verbal cue or subtitles helped me start looking in time.

I did it with an HA sorc (capped) and an Arcanist (level 20 no CP) and I, too, have fumble fingers (arthritis). It is hard if you can't strafe the circle. On sorc, I ran with HA lightning staff on each clone in a straight line, around the edge, bashed them or used crushing, then rinsed and repeated around the circle...then attacked the boss when her shield was down. ("invulnerable" warning goes away.)

Like a lot of recent content, the extremes of stacking dps and burning, or standing still all tanky for ages, while completely ignoring adds won't work well for most of us. I do slot celerity CP if you have movement issues. It helps a bit. I use potions off cool down so I have plenty of stam to block or dodge when needed. Eat good food. It's worth a bit of preparing for, if you don't do high deeps because it's a slog to repeat :)

    Good luck.

    TL:DR
Mechanic: Enter green circles and use Ghost Sight Synergy. Then go around circle killing all the clones. Go back to boss until you hear the NPC say to use ghost sight, go into circle use synergy, kill clones, then back to boss, etc.

I understand everything you said and I try to do those things but I am getting killed so fast it is meaningless.

This is one DLC I have walked away from as of yesterday.

The damage being done to me is very similar to a World Boss. I would never expect to beat one of those on my own and that is exactly what is happening.

When my health drops below 30% I get a 12883 point shield plus I get one Tri-Crown Restoration Potion and I am gone. There are no seconds on these since I am dead too fast.

What is this fight? I do not remember a world boss with this name (on the other hand I'm bad with remembering names in general).

It’s a quest boss fight. Although I’ve never had this issue with it so it seems that ZOS buffed the crap out of it.

Thanks. I usually do not remember quest fights at all.
