Hi everyone,

We want to thank you again for your patience during our extended maintenance that occurred yesterday, November 28. We understand this maintenance and the additional unplanned extension impacted the ability for some of you to claim the houseguest, Mizzik Thunderboots, offered through this month’s Daily Login Rewards. With that said, if you have logged in for at least 19 days this month and are not able to claim the houseguest based on yesterday’s maintenance, we’d like to invite you to contact our Customer Support team and they will assist in getting you the houseguest.

After logging into help.elderscrollsonline.com, please navigate to In-Game Support > Platform Choice (PC/Xbox/PlayStation) > I have an item issue > Missing Item. In order to expedite your request, please also include a screenshot of your daily login calendar.

Thank you!

    Thank you!

That's a very nice gesture, thanks.

There's a few problems here though.

First and foremost, these maintenance outages typically run over the communicated window. This creates a lot of drama here that could otherwise be avoided with more generous windows communicated. It also impacts things like Guild Trader swaps, which is the backbone of the player economy. I'm not sure where the breakdown is there, but certainly something you be should looking into.

Maintenance outages are impacting events way too often. Overlapping events shouldn't be happening unless it's specifically for the event transition processes. It's been stated before that the event announcements themselves are contingent on factors that could result in delays. So my question here is - are maintenance windows not being considered in the event timeframe planning?

Time sensitive things like an event should take some priority. Especially since there's people going out of their way for them and there's sales for you. Not too mention all of the supporting legwork that goes into events off the ground. Just think of how much catch up has to be done now, on top of all the usual event wind down. All of this has impacted player experiences and is now cascading the problem to support. Feels like a lot of this could and should have been avoided. Especially with a game of this age.

And I think it'd behoove you as the Senior Community manager to speak to some of this. I know you typically don't post much in the forums, but this is a good example of where you and the CMs could better handle crises. I'm not trying to discount the gesture provided here, but when people pay for a service, they expect it to be up.

Mizzik was not towards the end of the daily rewards so why should someone receive him, if they have not logged in enough?

I would understand if the maintenance took days but it doesn't. Does this mean if I can't be bothered logging in I can get rewards if maintenance has occured?

I missed a day last month so can I get that last day reward as there was maintenance.

Out of curiosity, how does it personally affect you or take away from you if someone else gets this houseguest through support?

Asking as someone who literally logged in everyday and knows ESO won’t be taking away my Mizzik to give to someone else so…

This. And that's absolutely ALL I'm going to say.

Wow, some people just can't let others receive generosity. I only missed two days and I have no problem with people logging in less than I to receive the amazing Mizzik Thunderboots. He's a fantastic house guest and I'm happy that more people get to enjoy him.
