Saving an Endless Archive run using the 'Armory system' technology.

The technology already exists in the game for us to save our builds via an armory system in the open world/dungeons/trials etc. Wouldn't the easiest way to save progress in the Endless Archive, to add a 'Armory system' character/device in the Endless Archive Lobby, that we simply walk up to and save our build with visions, when we're ready to stop progressing for that particular day?
90% of the technology is already used within the game, just adding the ability to save visions/threads remaining would be the easiest way to save progress. I'm certain 99% of the users would be more than willing to give up leaderboard placements in exchange for this, as the players wanting to save progress aren't interested in placing on the leaderboard anyway, they just want to feel that their runs are coming to a natural end, rather than an enforced one through lack of time/real life commitments.
