Is it still possible to pull off 2 hander stamsorc to a decent degree?

I've come back to ESO recently and to my surprise DW master is still the go to build with procs sets, but dotting up and runnin around is not really my cup of tea on a sorc, so is it possible to come up with something for 2 hander thats at least b tier compared to the meta? I dont mind using DW as a backbar for quick cloack or twin slashes.

    Hi,
We have moved this into a channel more inline with its topic. Just to note, that when a thread is moved a link is left in its place to help those looking for it find it in its new place. It is a temporary link, but it’s what we can do to help those that have already engaged with it.
    Thank you.

Pvp or pve? Stam sorc is a very single player based class. It powerful with the highest parse of any class breaking 140K but it is rarely used in pvp because it so disadvantaged with aoe, you are really dependent on off class dots. That is with a 2 hand build. Pvp its viable but lacks a burst heal as a class since Matriarch is just not viable so again off class skills to surive. I play a sorc i pvp, mostly mag. I can say without shame I dont have the skill to pull off a stam build without a cheese build (which i personally wont use).

I meant for pvp only, last time i played i recall troll kings/ognums scale/spriggans being good but thats like two years ago or something when health regen was all the craze with heavy armor.

Right now the its all about putting as many procs on your target as possible. I'll tell you right now cleave is a go to for a lot of people. As far as builds i cant be a lot of help unfortunately bc i dont play stam. What i can tell you is that regen has see a buff since those days. Atleast one piece of heavy for all builds for undaunted but a full set is definitely not optomized. You'll be too slow unless you are going super tanky which doesn't play to the sorc strengths. Now a days its strip, debuffs, combo, execute.

Don’t need to out heal what can’t hit you. Build into mobility and, along with streak, will make you a very difficult target to catch let alone set up your burst on.

I hardly PvP anymore, but when I do I run Master's 2H front bar with the Brawler skill, and a bow back bar. I love the bow for the dodge roll speed as I find alternating dodge rolls on the bow bar with Streak has great synergy. Good for defense and just plain fun. This has proven effective in low MMR battlegrounds and for zerging in open world. Brawler fixes one of sorc's major weaknesses, e.g. healing, to a degree, as you can stay on the attack and shield at the same time. If you're fully buffed and at full stamina, you can streak into a hot spot only to leave when your stamina gets low, probing for weaknesses. It won't win you any duels, but it can slay in low MMR BGs and it's handy enough for chaotic battles in open world.

The key to this kind of build is sustain, especially in BGs and no CP in general. A Wretched Vitality back bar is an obvious choice, as is Engine Guardian. The final set is up to you. Could be a proc, maybe Way of Fire, although defensively what sorc really lacks is a purge. The more you're leaning on Dark Deal for healing, the more you're also leaning on Streak and kiting. However it's worth noting that shielding mitigates DOTs and swinging Brawler even without a target still generates a base-level shield.

You could also try a Master's Bow, Blackrose Bow or maybe a (Vateshran) ice staff back bar. Draugrkin would buff that and would buff Bound Armaments, but what do I know. I'm now just bandying about a fairly standard idea that may or may not work in this context. Draugrkin and status effects are among the meta options, though Master's dual-wield is probably the single most effective thing.

StamSorc is an excellent D Swinger thanks to Crystal Weapon and Curse (and excellent passives), probably the best.

every stamsorc i see in bgs is doing the masters dw routine
