Moving Threads without a reference of where they were moved to.

I have noticed over the last few days, that one moderator is moving threads without saying where they were moved to. In the future when moving a thread, could moderators indicate which forum they moved them to? Also it appears moderators are making judgements based on the title of threads. One that apparently was moved has the title "Short Guide to Televani event" when it contained two official links, one to the description of the event and one to the progress of the getting the house, pet etc. That is not really a guide but rather official information and should either be up at the top of general discussions forum or in the body of general discussions forums

Thanks...

I spent ages looking for the original book/furnishing poll the other day after it was moved. Assumed it would've been put in events but couldn't find it. It eventually turned up in housing, which I guess technically it is, but you get the prizes whether or not you ever step foot in a player house so events would've been a much better place for it

When 2/3 of the main page is "404 not found" and the responsible mods don't seem to be aware of the referencing bug, its a terrible look for the forums.

That's the worst. It was already silly when 2/3 of General ESO Discussion took you to another forum, but when the link to the moved thread is broken, I rather go to reddit instead of trying to figure out where the discussion ended up.

So they put "Moved: " in front of the title, move the thread, and break the link so you get a 404 error?

Why start doing that? They used to just take you to the thread where ever it was in the forum.

It's not a bad thing if threads are sorted into topics, but as OP said: sometimes threads are moved based on the title and not based on the content. There are some threads, for example with ToT in the title, that are about the daily Endeavors and not the card game. But still they are moved to the ToT forum.

Agree with not moving threads without a new link. It's so frustrating when I want to read the subject.

They seem to use keywords in the titles or body of the posts, without necessarily putting the thread where it makes sense based of the overall meaning of the the opening post.

For example, There's a thread in the housing subforum about the user interface design when opening containers, because it happened to use the word furniture in the title. This design effects a range of consumables and not just furniture plans. But if you play with an add-on PC, then it might not be as noticable as on console or vanilla.

Given the sheer of volume of things they have to read this is understandable. I just wish there was a good report category for this, so that players could request a thread be moved (or unmoved) in good faith.
