Communication for Disabling Crown Store Gifting

@ZOS_Icy @ZOS_Kevin , Can we get an update or an expected date we should hear an update for crown store gifting? I think solid communication will go a long way being the are area chat and guild chats are flooded with discussion on this issue.

Crown crate gifting was disabled half a year ago, no word whatsoever. Why are people even being hopeful about this lol just pull the plug and play FF14 like me (or GW2)

I agree, I am hoping lessons from the past were learned and actually getting answers other than generic responses happen. I don't know the true reason behind them shutting it down, but people that I see daily are no longer logging on and they are not playing other games. I hope they realize the severity of this action. I mean releasing new crown store items dont mean a damn thing if the majority purchasing them were for gifting.

If Zenimax knew when this would be resolved they would have already told us. The fact that this has gone from giving specific items to gifting any and all items demonstrates they just found out this is a wider and bigger issue than originally thought.

They cannot tell us what they do not know.

Zenimax has provided many updates. They can only provide what they know or think they know. There was a pinned thread where Kevin would regularly update us which was mostly that they are still working on it and that they thought they had a workaround.

Since the situation has changed dramatically they have created new threads and the old conversations are no longer pinned.d However, I found one of the more recent threads Keven created to update us and linked it below.

So yes there has been word, often. Granted, it is frustrating for those who do trade crowns for gold but it is clear Zenimax has either not figured out the problem or exploiters are finding new ways to exploit.

Not many ppl cares about poison. But limited housing items for example - another case. I would like to hear when gifting will be back too. Crates - whatever, thy can keep it locked forever.

They started a project of improving communication with players few years ago. They'll finish it any year now, just be patient.
