Can’t leave instance while grouped due to combat bug

The combat bug in pvp and pve has been going on for as long as I’ve been playing this game. How are we supposed to leave an instance while grouped and experiencing the combat bug? This is not a once in a while occurrence, it is daily, many times per day. I had hoped this would be fixed before applying this change. @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_Kevin Can you please address this for us. I can’t help but feel like this is going to cause grief to more players then it helps because the combat bug wasn’t addressed first.

    Combat should only last like 15 seconds since last time you dealt or received direct damage. The way they have it is so overcomplicated and as we all know very bug prone. Simplify it as suggested and the problem goes away

    Wardens are particularly prone to getting stuck in combat, and have been since the class was introduced in Vvardenfell.
    Healers are also prone to getting stuck in combat, if they still have a HoT ticking away on a player.
    The combination of Warden + Healer is incredibly annoying, since not only a HoT but also the Netch will leave you in combat.

    Has anyone checked to see whether the end of Ruins of Mazzatun has been fixed? You get stuck in combat for several minutes after the final boss has been defeated, as the Tribal Elders perform their ceremony to make the Hist tree stop misbehaving.

    Console player, but I am really dreading this change when it drops on console. Much rather, they fixed the exploit some other way than cause pain for the masses.
