Where did everyone go

What happened to people hanging out in Craglorn looking or making groups for trials. I notice it's been dead.

Yeah its not Craglorn based anymore i see people advertising for dps etc for trials in Stormhaven/Deshaan/Grahtwood all over these days.

End game players have left in droves since U35. On top of that, there's been far superior games that have released recently, so a lot of people are playing those.

This. U35 ran off i.m.o. hundreds of thousands of players. Worst patch in the history of this game.

I agree that U35 was poorly done but I am not sure what you mean by "superior games" coming out between now and then.

I have played a lot of MMORPGs and none of them really come close to this one. I don't think I have missed any new releases between then and now.

I honestly doubt any new MMORPG will be competing adequately in the market anytime soon. Standard US game design policy seems to be to release poor games and patch till it works.

These same posts came after Zenithar event last year. My guess?

1). August is a lot of people on vacation, going to beaches, doing things with family. Not as many at home playing games. It is just a cyclical slowdown.

and/or

2). Zenithar event is based in Craglorn, so Craglorn gets highly populated, so game spawns a lot more instances of Craglorn. After Zenithar event ends, those instances still persist for a while, resulting in the normal Craglorn population getting spread thin.

U35 was very hard on the end game PvE raiding community. Google Nefas U35 to see some videos as to why.

I can only comment on EU server. Craglon is dead. RIP. Nada. Null. I have no idea where players went, but hosting trials with missing players is really hard nowadays because of this. If you find where they are hiding please reveal the hideout (including the game which name shall not be mentioned) as we need them for ESO to be MMO not a single player game:D

Besides everything that has changed (for the worse) over that last couple of years, there's also the constant problems with being able to actually access the game--it seems that every other week there's an issue preventing players from playing... at some point people just give up.

Stuck in Combat.

Stuck in combat has become increasingly worse over the years in PvP, but now it's in PvE as well - and that sucks for PvE gameplay.

Stuck in Combat make the simple task of killing a mob and picking flowers - tedious.

I took it at three different layers of Belkarth during 4-5 minutes. Remember, it is not prime time already.
See all those people? They don't know yet that their Craglorn is dead.
Well, someone is obviously dead, but players are fixing it

You can also turn off the turn based combat. It doesn't have to be that way while harder to do solo, in a group of 4 to 8 players controlling their own character active combat is possible. Not recommended with a controller.
