Xbox EU login and in game crashes

During both the recent 'free play' periods I am experiencing the infinite loading screen problem after character select. Over the past couple of days have also been getting thrown out of the game back to the dashboard mostly whilst attempting travel either via wayshrines or exiting a dungeon.

Appreciate it might well be a coincidence but this happened (to a lesser extent) during Z of Z and much more frequently since 10 August.

Given the current state of the game why ZOS have insisted on two free play events so close to each other is bewildering.

Any they get the free mount too!

    Have checked that back in 2019 I added all the port settings to my hub...along with several others suggested at the time.

    Have a BT Smart hub which I understand has automatic firmware updates.

    I updated from a Xbox One X to a series X late May 2023 and installed the game anew at that time. Loading times and general in game improvement was dramatic and for a time I enjoyed a great experience.

    Then came along Necron and worst still the subsequent patch by which time things were not so good.

    Finally, the two free play periods resulted in at times infinite loading screens after character select together with occasional crashes to desktop. Initially I did think there was a connection to the free play days but now have to admit that seems to be less likely.

    My enjoyment of the game has really diminished in 2023 and I am at a loss to know how to improve the situation.

    Surely if the problem exists at my end then the infinite loading screens during login and crashes in game would occur all the time?

    Have had crashes when simply scrolling through my inventory or exiting a building?

    Apologises for such a long response but I love the game but am getting too frustrated trying to play it!

    Yesterday had no problems during each of my login sessions.

    Due to physical issues I do log in several times each day.

    Today my first login attempt resulted in the infinite loading screen after character select.

    During my second session whilst collecting hireling rewards I attempted loading into a different character (having already done so on several others) to get thrown out to the desktop.

    I did notice that during Friday's issues others were indicating similar problems for a while.

    Will hope for an improvement after September 5 but am not in the least confident that these sort of problems are ever taken seriously.

    If there is no improvement then with great reluctance I will at the very least abandon paying for ESO+.

    Regarding the infinite loading screen, this article may help. This will help clear your cache and hopefully resolve that side of the issue.

    As for the instances of crashing to the dashboard, this article will have further things to try aside from the cache clear if that does not resolve it as well.

    Very much appreciate the advice but regrettably had already tried these options following an earlier helpdesk request. Also became familiar with these practices during my time with the Xbox one x.

    It is puzzling given my new series x console is so recent and had a clean install at that time. The thought of reinstalling after only 3 months is a bit daunting given my 12-13 mbps download speed.

    Only minutes ago I logged in and completed a daily dungeon no problem.

    Clicked on the exit door and was thrown back to dashboard.

    Logged back in to infinite loading screen. Tried again and logged in without issue. Proceeded on awhile and then loaded another character without issue.

    It is the inconsistency of this which I just do not understand but guess I'll have to accept the problem probably does exist at my end if others are not experiencing similar difficulties. Not sure I can keep my daily momentum going though!
