Invisible aoe - can anybody help?

For a few days now I have not been able to see any aoe attacks on my screen. They only appear if I actually stand in them - and maybe not even then.
I am not entirely sure if it started happening with the launch of Necrom or a couple days after.

It seems to happen everywhere (PVE and PVP). As it stands it is preventing me from doing any serious content.

It is happening on every toon I have logged in with, reloading UI or relogging doesn't help. It even affects some "friendly" aoes. For example I was unable to see the portal aoes on the ground during the last boss fight in vSS. Luckily I still found the portal but obviously that's not great.

I know this is not the first time this has happened in this game as a buddy of mine has been affected by this problem multiple times before. We have never been able to determine the cause, personally I haven't changed any settings in months.

Anybody know of this bug or even better, a way to fix it? Thx for reading!

I've ran into invisible and or inaccurate AOE spells in certain veteran dungeons as well. Like the red mark that where the AOE happens and then the spell comes it mostly seems to go out of its range, or is larger, has a bit more damage, or is smaller than the area marked.

...... so turns out it wasn't a bug in my case.

Feel super silly just admitting this but apperantly I turned of my AoEs by accidentally turning off Combat Cues in the gameplay settings.
You live and you learn I guess, atleast I can play again

We appreciate the update regarding this AoE issue. With the OP finding the correct setting to enable, we are going to close the thread from further posts.
