Some ideas of quality of life

With the coming of your next big update, who will only bring needed quality of life upgrade, I was thinking what good thing you can bring to make the game a little better.

1: Time is in essence

First and for all thing, take your time. We don't need a extension every year. One extension each year always bring some problem, like data size for exemple or the content of each extension itself. We known that your are good to make good content, each and every extension and update are in the good side of thing. But now take a minute to imagine what good content you can make in more time. I known how you work, you have two or more teams of developper who work on each extension, one team par extension. You have show it that you can make a good story and update with this method but i will said that will be the best for your team and the game to take more time. Just one more year, just one more. You have a good way to make the game so much better.

I will bring some idea for helping a little, in the beginning of the year, you make a annoncement of the extension and one month after that, you make the big reveal trailer and after that, in trhee month a update with the new twin dungeons and three month after that the big extension. After the big one you make a another twin dungeons and after three month or more the last chapter, who will complete the story. (In exception of Necrom for this time) That not bad way to make your game but with the years coming by that always seem a little simple so the tweak that a little more and making it interesting. In place of bringing two dungeon in one update, bring in one at the time but before the big trailer and annoncement of the extension. So the players will specultate for what your will talking in the next extension and that will bring the flame of passion (not of ambition thankfully) in the game and the community

2: My little dungeon

My second suggestion will be to bring a story mode for the dungeons, with that some people can litteraly play the game in there own pace and listen the story with out thinking the the other players will wait for them. For the loot, make it green.

in the same idea, make that in the menu when we select the dungeon we can see if we complete them (Story, standart and Veteran) like just a little thing who will be said yes i have completed it. Like i have already have the trophy but not the burst and i didnt complete the story of this one for some reasons.

And that all i was thinking for the quality of life. If someone have a goods ideas write it down and sorry for my writing english is my second language.

I would rather say that at the moment it is even questionable whether the new concept of only one new zone/story content per year is not already a mistake, because people will quickly migrate to other games if nothing new comes along. If there was only something new every 2 years, then probably nobody would be there anymore.

Yes....but that the thing with Mmo there always will be down time in every mmo. And i have to precise one thing, if they have many teams they can make some side content sometime.

Like heck we don't. For those of us who are mainly here for the questing and exploration, losing the Q4 DLC is already a blow. Having no content for an entire year would mean the end of my ESO experience. I'm a casual player who doesn't chase meta. That means I have no reason to run the same dungeons over and over again for transmutes or to get whatever set is "the thing right now," and I don't do trials. I'm also not interested in housing. There ain't a heck of a lot for a player like me to do between content drops. Right now, I still have the arcanist to try, and I'm doing things like chasing down lore books and any achievements I still want. But that will run out eventually. Take away content for a year and ESO will become a distant memory for me.

I like your story mode idea, which has been requested a lot.

The lack of an expansion every year is common for other games but the PROBLEM is ESO's content is developed in such a way that there is VERY little in every expansion. So I agree completely that ZOS needs to release content more often. BUT - if they had one enormous release every couple years, that'd be different.

Agreed. You can blow through an ESO chapter in less than a week, meaning complete everything on the map. If an expansion took longer to work through (and added interesting systems that applied to every zone in the game), it would be a different story.

I played two other online games for years before ESO and never once ran out of content to do. (I left Guild Wars when Guild Wars 2 was released, and I left Lord of the Rings Online because the client stopped working for me and I could never figure out why, and when I got a new machine, the install kept failing for some reason. Nothing to do with lack of content. Sadly I couldn't get into GW2 for some reason.)

How much new content you want will depend on how much you play and what you do.

If you only play for 3 or 4 hours a week, you might be happy getting an update every couple of years. If you play for 3 or 4 hours a day, then one update a year may not feel like enough. I'm sure PVPers don't really care for the expansions and would like something for PVP (or just more new classes), while questers would like new content more often.

The game caters for all sorts of people, and they will never all agree on what is too little, enough, or too much.

For the love of god make companion unlocks, mount upgrades, and crafting trait knowledge, and the ability to do craft writs account wide.

I have 7 characters and will have 8 when Arcanist drops and have complete sympathy for people who have 20 characters who have to do the above 20 times.

Perhaps they could start adding in new quests and explorations in existing areas. Saves time designing a whole new zone, but still offers some new content. Just drop in two or three new questlines and maybe some new delves or other bonuses periodically through the year. Give us reasons to go back to zones besides the endless ENDLESS list of "prologue quests" that only pop up in the capitals and the starting zones. Auridon and Elden Root are becoming very crowded these days and I'm sure it's the same for the other factions.

I think you underestimate - or perhaps don't even regard - how much money a new chapter brings to the company's coffers each year. Take that away, and the game loses staff, and momentum in general. That's why they do it, primarily.
