Nope, I only ever bought cosmetics out of the crown store and see no reason to change that.

Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. It's not that hard.
Nah. I've purchased a zone or two for one character or another, on a couple of occasions, if there was something I wanted to accomplish with their skills at a particular moment but didn't have the skill points, but it's not something I do for a new character.
I need to unlock wayshirines for that new character, as well, so I might as well combine the two objectives.
I *might* buy a few Mount upgrade books for Speed and/or Capacity, or unlock the Legerdemain skill-line, though.
Heck no. Not only do I love doing new character setup including skyshard hunting, but it'll be a cold day in a very warm place before I pay for what I can get for free with minimal effort on my part.
Legends never die
They're written down in eternity
But you'll never see the price it costs
The scars collected all their lives
When everything's lost, they pick up their hearts and avenge defeat
Before it all starts, they suffer through harm just to touch a dream
Oh, pick yourself up, 'cause
Legends never die
I never buy skyshards or anything else achievable in the game, other than houses which I get with crowns from my subscription as I'm not a trader and don't have the gold they would otherwise cost.
If you figuratively want to get your pants pulled down by extortionate prices then go for it, but out of self respect I'd never pay for skyshards. If the cost was a tenth of the current amount then perhaps, but as it stands no. The game does all it can to make it as hard as possible/expensive to start new classes or characters, swap servers etc and I don't want to reward that kind of approach from the developers.
I would never spend even more money to skip playing a game I've already paid for and subbed to.
Though, I get that some would prefer to get their new arcanists into endgame right away, and I'm glad ZoS provides an option for them... but it's also a rip-off. Even if I didn't enjoy exploring the map and skyshard hunting, I wouldn't want to reward ZoS' monetization tactics so I'd still bite the bullet and go hunting.
No, I only use the crown store for cosmetic items like hairstyles/beards/tattoos, houses/furniture and mounts (and character slots of course, can never have too many alts ).
Why on earth would I even want to buy skyshards? With a few exceptions, they are easy to get and you get plenty of skill points anyway.

PAWS (Positively Against Wrip-off Stuff) - Say No to Crown Crates!. Outfit slots not being accountwide is ridiculous given their price. PC EU/PC NA roleplayer and solo PvE quester
I have to admit that i buy the same shards with every character i create. The cyrodiil and the coldhabour ones, because I try to avoid the pvp map and coldhabour is a bit depressing over time.
In the greener lands I like to collect them and love to enjoy the view again :-)
No, I would never buy such items from the Crown Store!
Actually looking forward to a total game playthrough from the start...... the original start.... slightly dreading all the shouting npc's in cities though.
When people say to me........
"You're going to regret that in the morning"
I sleep until midday cos I'm a problem solver!
Nope. I'm retired, so I can take a day and run skyshards whenever I need to. Takes about two 8 hour sessions if I'm not sprinting around and also doing side quests. If I'm just running skyshards, I can get it done in a day.

"Nightblade healer huh? How does that work?"
"I drain the blood of our enemies and fire it into you. It's a lot less messy than it sounds, and yeah I'm basically a Vampire without the whole AGH FIRE BAD"
Nope, I like questing and exploring on characters and I'm never in a rush to get them fully levelled up so I've got no reason to pay to skip playing them. I'll just collect them as I'm going along like I always do.

"Remember in this game we call life that no one said it's fair"
Nope, I spent crowns only on things that are not earnable in other way. Also skyshards are not so bad to collect, especially when you collect them during leveling to level 50. I have 14 characters and this was never a problem, so I can live with it when leveling 15th one
No, I usually like to keep my crowns for cosmetics and stuff you can't earn in-game. I've leveled a lot of alts and although it can be a tedious process, it's not that bad. I did get some riding speed lessons though with game gold via crown gifting for the mount training, because that will take the longest.
I'm just impatient to get my toon into trials etc, and I don't have as much time to play the game as I would like, so buying the slowest and most tedious skill line and a few skill points to get me started is a good use of my crowns/money and allows me to spend more time on things I'd rather do with the toon.
