So you go to Vivec and you drop in on the stablemaster Drel Trandel, happily feeding his guar. I would like to buy a guar with my hard earned gold, but in his stable all he has are the same three horses you can find everywhere!
So how about updating these basic mounts, and make them more in keeping with local fauna?
We get more variety of mounts, the game gets some gold back.
I'm not talking about flashy shiny radiant mounts, either. I suggest four mounts in total. Two Horses, two local beasts. So in Vivec, Drel will have two horses and two guar (guars?). In Alik'r, the stablemasters will have two horses and two camels. So on and so on.
The first horse is bare basic 50k. The second horse is more expensive and has local livery. Again, nothing fancy, just something to show where its from. Maybe 75k to 100k
Then you've got your guar/camel/bear/ram etc and again a second one, a little more expensive but with local livery.
Could be a good way to make a little gold back, add a little more immersion, and make things less generic. Encourage people to go out and find stables in other cities, too.
And this way, without it being flashy mounts, it won't hurt the crown store/endeavour store.
