My character has dealt with HM multiple times, yet it's another prince we don't remember? We've asked for years to stop doing this, why again? And no, there isn't an option to not end up here because there are multiple dialogue options and you're kind of blindsided when this is the next and only dialogue option unless you exit the conversation and then start over to see the rest of the dialogue.

Also, what kind of comment is "You don't look like any Daedric Prince I've ever seen. What are you exactly?" ?
    1. We can talk to Mora in a couple of quests before this.
    2. Unless you have done base game and some chapter's main story you've never seen a prince before. Most people in Tamriel haven't, because that would be horrifying!
    3. ...He's a daedric prince. They are ancient eldritch beings who can manifest as whatever they want. There's no specific look.

Honestly, I was too frustrated by Hermaeus Mora not sounding like Hermaeus Mora to even notice this oversight.

I stand corrected, I forgot what Hermaeus Mora sounds like apparently... oops.

I suppose they imagine most players don't take the lore/continuity too seriously, so they don't either. I can't see any other reason for such a bloomer, beyond utter incompetence - and players will have their own opinions on that  ! Personally, I don't take such things too seriously as I don't take my gaming too seriously, but I respect those who do.

Agree. My elf played Oblivion, Skyrim and now adventures in ESO. She's dealt with Hermaeus Mora more than enough to know what a slimeball he is. Molag Bal and Mehrunes Dagon are really evil and dangerous. HM, like Sheo are simply disgusting dweebs. Azura is actually my elf's godmother. So she knows Daedra reasonably well.

My other complaint about the prologue is its Stugaesque obtrusiveness. Leramil the obtrusive is posted at a key intersection inside the tree of Elden Root and you can't walk by her without hearing "Do you know how long ..." "Proxy, fate has plucked you..."

Please increase my quest log to 100 and let me move quests inside the log into a 'Not now' category to get rid of the ever growing plethora of DLC/Chapter/Prologue questgivers who are not relevant to the current zone.

Yeah. I didn't know the VA is Wes, that makes me glad because he's awesome, but the voice just didn't have that slow, elder, get-into-your-skull feel that it does in Skyrim.

He sounds different here, I agree. More singsong, less sinister overall, I think. Although having just listened to a clip of him from Skyrim, I don't think the difference is that big.

That was a different actor, trying to emulate Johnson's voice from Skyrim. I guess whether it was better or not is personal preference. Personally I didn't like it, because it felt like a knockoff of the one I was used to.

The bigger problem here is the writers refuse to fill the dialogue trees with anything other than questions. It’s pretty rare that you get to make decisions in ESO through dialogue it’s all one option to move the quest forward or a question. Would love if we could give opinions in dialogue that characters would react to even if it’s just largely flavor.

I really enjoyed Bal Sunnar so I was hoping against the odds that the prologue might be alright but yet again we're getting a prologue quest that is so obviously aimed at completely new players. I'm starting to think these little quests are more sales pitches than proper stories - especially as Leramil the Wise has taken up bothering my alts in multiple locations. Thank god for Shut yer Trap!

A little bit of flavour dialogue would gone a long way here - many players' characters have met Mora prior to this encounter where he's pretty forward about his nature and what he wants. Just...reward us for playing though the games' other stories! Just a line or two here and there so the main character isn't always coming across as if they mosied in from a farm in the middle of nowhere with no contact with the rest of Tamriel.

Also if we're going to do the who's the obvious baddy thing again can we at least have a dialogue where you can say "I don't trust either of you!". The Vestige has been subject to betrayal so often it's a miracle they're able to leave the house for trust issues.

Not quite as bad as meeting up with somebody you had killed to save Tamriel in the main story..... but then again I suppose there's still one more they can bring back as if nothing ever happened.

If you've been around long enough, you understand the ESO lore isn't always consistent and doesn't always make sense. And there isn't really anything we can do about it.... other than pretend that things are as they should be.

Ah yes, once again the Vestige has the brain capacity of a chestnut.

I understand that they think that most players don't take the lore or the continuity too seriously, but for those of us that like to do all the quests in general (or the ones that do try to do things mostly in order) I find this type of writing to be very annoying, as it's extremely immersion breaking and I'd wager the vast majority of players who do this prologue quest will have already met the daedric prince in a previous quest already - There's a quest involving him in Greenshade, Bangkorai and the Public Dungeon in Reaper's March, alongside a few quests in Craglorn.

Only thing that annoyed me about it was that it was not a choice among multiple options the questions just lead you to those dialogue choices, with no option but to click them to move the conversation along, unless you want to back out and start the whole conversation again.

I don't think it's just down to not taking the lore seriously, it's also assuming players need constant reminders of every detail. There's usually at least one step in each quest where you can get (or will be given without asking) a reminder of what you're doing and why.

I understand TES lore can be confusing at first, I still remember starting Morrowind and people constantly asking my character if they follow the Temple or the Divines and what they thought about 'good' and 'bad' daedra and I had no idea what any of these things were or what implications my answers might have.

I even kind-of understand putting the basics into quest dialogue so the info is right there for people who need it. But I wish they'd make it optional so we can skip those questions if the player and/or character doesn't need to ask. Or give us variations to choose from which reflect different levels of understanding, even if they lead to the same answer.

It's frustrating to have to imagine that your character either has a very short and erratic memory and needs to be constantly reminded of people they've met before and events they were part of, as well as basic info about the world, or to imagine they just like having redundant conversations.

Weird it doesn’t sound the same as in Skyrim.

It almost sounds like he tried being less gurgley with his voice (for lack of better words ) I heard him on the elder scrolls lore cast do it and he did it just like Skyrim. I don’t know it wasn’t bad but it doesn’t sound the same to me for whatever reason weird.
