Accessibility doesn't justify destroying the game ...

HA Sorc/Brokensoul Ring need to be nerfed .. it literally make all the hard achievements irrelevant and its just sad in my opinion ..

Canceling mechanics and spamming 1 key and do more DPS than was even thought possible 2 years ago is not the way - now its funny, later you will find all the top rated players leaving because of it, makes achievements like trifecta's just irrelevant ...

Its literally playing a God Mode with super high DD + range + 1 bar + healer + semi tank all in 1 character, there are just 0 minuses, why even play anything else?

2 threads were locked relating to this topic in the past day or so. All that needed to be said were in those threads, really, and another will just start the same loop again. There's an equal amount of (long winded) opinions and support for each side of the debate when you go digging on the topic. It's a wait and see on what ZoS will do at this point.

So, if some build or builds that some player or players came up with is destroying the integrity of hard achievements because they're able to be earned by what you deem to be unworthy players and playstyles, I'm curious how you feel about players who sell carries for millions in gold? Are they destroying the integrity of hard achievements, too? And if not, what is it about that particular practice that makes it okay as compared to these integrity-destroying builds that have you so upset?

Because you can make a 2 bar build with the same number of button pushes, albeit even slower, as instead of your top one being every 10 seconds, it's every 33, and get the EXACT SAME result.....
And that is having the SAME staff on both bars, with identical skills.... so there is no rotation involved.

And this is a game where the top people brag about using 3rd party software to tell them what order to mash buttons in, or when to use other actions.......

Hopefully, this copy of a locked thread can get locked just as quickly.

OP, I do not think you have a problem with accessibility, otherwise you would be against out-of-game methods of accessiblity first. As those out-of-game methods allow players to access achievements they would otherwise not be capable of getting. These out-of-game methods tell them when to move, where to move, how to move, points out everything, points out every location for something, shows them everything, performs tasks for them, and even tells them what to sell something for. This out-of-game accessibility is add-ons. This form of accessibility makes any of the game's achievements useless/worthless.

Secondary you would be against those who use in-game cheats to gain access to content they should not have had access to. Mainly this comes down to people forcing themselves into a role they have no intention of playing. And even though these do not often grant access to more of the higher tier achievements, they do grant access to parts of the game and their achievements/rewards these players otherwise probably would not have gotten without this accessibility option.

Only as a third accessibility option should you be against players using in-game means, like the HA build you described, to have more accessiblity. But there is nothing wrong with this, as these players are playing the game as intended and it is not broken. Your issue seems to be with balancing.

Now I do disagree with you, even though I am against the first two forms of accessibility(add-ons/fake roles). But I am not against players using legit in-game means to achieve something they want to achieve. So I actually want the original oakensoul back, I want the original crystal fragments back, I want my tank sets unnerfed, I want my resources denerfed, I want the heavy armor negatives gone, I want to play the game my way. But this is about balancing, not accessibility. If something is going to be done about accessibility, the first and second form of accessibility should be looked at first. Add-ons and fake roles.

Right now accessibility(and balancing) seems to be dictated by those who scream loudest and most often on the forum, instead of by solid reason and arguments.

1 bar builds have been around for some time. They have always been easy builds to use. Personally I don't use oakensoul as I like the numbers my sorc already hits.

I am actually happy that people use it cause now they have no excuse as to why they hit like a tank and not a truck.

Xbox player here without add-on’s… So many vet trials are *requiring* 6 of the same sorc HA build. I have LOST accessibility because I don’t have a sorc, and have never liked them. I have the lightning staff and every I need for the build, just no sorc. So I can’t do so many trials because of this build… If you were running a trial, and you had the option of either cheesing it with 6 HA sorcs or struggle with a setup where people actually play the classes they want, most people are choosing the cheese route … And it has been leaving me out … 🤷🏻‍♂️

Just my two cents.

They want to know your doing at minimum 80k so they ask for them.

The time will pass and just like before something else will replace that.
Anyone remember when trials only ran with stam builds? I do right around the time Morag Tong entered the game.

I’ve also seen evidence of some guilds banning HA oakenbuilds in vet content.
I feel that your issue is a raid leader issue. Raid leaders decide what is needed for a raid team. I’m quite certain if you ask, you will probably find raid leads who are more than happy to take you on.
As for myself, I’m pleased I can “cheese” 88k, without doing my hand in.
Im also on Xbox by the way, if you want a guild in the NA server that won’t tolerate HA builds for trials, and places absurd dps requirements for a veteran sunspire training run, I’m more than happy to send you over there.

So endgame plyrs didn’t devalue those titles and achievements already by charging millions for carries! I think so and I also think a lot of the endgame community will be a little irritated that their ‘easy noob gold’ earnings have been nerfed.

Pretty much. Still need sets. Still need a rotation. Do less dmg. Have to follow mechanics like intended vs blasting through, and doesn't affect anyone else, but none of that matters, you must play their way and mash buttons faster.(note for any reading these, many of us older players who've been running high content for years and can 2bar are thrilled with a viable new way to play for those, for whatever reason, are less abled, )

Over the years class skills have been nerfed, sets have been nerfed, etc, etc, etc.

I think the OP point is that a heavy attack sorcerer one bar build is more OP, than a lot of things that have been nerfed prior. It does make other play styles and different roles/classes largely irrelevant.

I would suggest reverse the nerfs on templars, wardens, dear little wood elves, some armour sets, etc so they are back to their better state, prior to nerfs, or nerf the one bar build above to bring it in line.

This game is turning more and more into play the way you want, but really, this is the one way to play, or else you generally suck in comparsion type thing. I have personally chosen to suck on my 18 characters because this one way to play is super damn boring and annoying too. I see a lot of ignoring mechanics, and someone else in the group can do that, because I will survive type nonsense going on. It's like solo play in a group play situation sometimes (the annoying bit).
