I've been seeing almost nothing but negativity in these forums about this update, and quite frankly, I think that's unfair.
Look, I'm not gonna claim it's perfect, and some stuff needs some fine tuning, but most of the changes suggested are completely fine and/or beneficial
The changes to Jewelry enchants are greatly appreciated as someone who has spent far too much gold and transmute of multiple sets for different group comps
Changes to Wall of Frost to ease how much AoE CC Wardens had access to in PvP is a good thing. AoE CCs in general are very dangerous (looking at the abuse of Dark Convergence and occasionally Rush of Agony) and can be very frustrating to fight against, and there is nothing more annoying in PvP than not being able to get your character to do what you want.
The change in scaling to LAs is completely fine, it'll buff most builds and the rest won't feel a thing. Even Skinny Cheeks said it'd be a 1.5% nerf for the literal best and most optimized PvE groups, and neutral to extremely positive for everyone else.
Changes to bloodthirsty make those expensive Chromium Grains and Platings less dire for PvE, and directly buff a number of players who cannot afford to gold out their jewelry.
The changes to timers make most things more convenient, and prevents people from having to worry about micromanaging their schedules around a video game.
^These are all good things, and the primary changes of the patch, and it just seems that no one is acknowledging them.
Look, I'm not gonna be some dolt who pretends everything is fine with the game. Templars barely exist, Sorcs are having an existential crisis and the ridiculous potential for both Burst Healing and Burst Damage in current PvP is downright oppressive.
But this patch feels like the first good step we've gotten in years.
