Been meaning to post this for a while, I've been playing ESO since One Tamriel and recently had one of my favourite experiences in the game. Just thought I'd share it.
I'd just been getting into Tales of Tribute and decided to try competitive matchmaking for the first time. I played a few games and was winning more than losing, was feeling pretty good about myself. Then I lost horribly—I didn't even get ten points before my opponent wrecked me. However, I learned a lot from the match. I had never thought to use Hlaalu as aggressively as this guy did, he was burning cards with it nearly every turn and just steadily gaining prestige while I was busy snatching up all the Crow cards I could to build a synergised deck. Anyway, I queued again and, lo and behold, same opponent. I took a deep breath and drafted Hlaalu straight away so I could have a chance to redeem myself. It was a super close game all the way through, but in the end I lost by three or four points. Still, I felt great about it. So I sent a DM saying something like "Good game, I did a bit better that second one at least!" and he responded "Yes good game, could tell you learned from the first one."
The best part of all of this though happened a few minutes later when I received the following message in the mail:
A gift
For twice facing me and nearly defeating me the second time, I am gifting you this traditional Dunmeri dish and the profit of my ascending to the ranks of Rubedite leaderboards.
I hope it serves you well, with sincerity.

Definitely a new ESO highlight for me!
