Master Writs Not Getting 100%XP Boost From Explorer Event

i just did some master writs in the explorer event and even though it says 100% xp from all sources you only get the xp from the scroll. its usually 17.5k xp from a master writ and with a 150% scroll i got 40k xp and not the 60k each one gives in the usual double xp events. So be warned wait till witches event to use them as you will lose 20k xp on each one

Were you doing alchemy or enchanting master writs?

These give less XP (around 14.5k) than the blacksmith, clothing, jewellery or woodworking ones (17.5k).

Provisioning also gives less xp, as that and the alchemy and enchanting are considered “Hard” difficulty, whereas gear master writs (blacksmithing, woodworking, clothing, jewelry) are considered “Very Hard.”

i did alchemy food and enchant ones but 150% of those amounts is still about 40k and during witches festival i get 60k from them with the buff food so as i said there is no 100% buff added to master writs in the event. even the 14.5k xp quoted still would be 50k at least if you were getting 100% from the explorer event. so all i got was 150% off the xp scroll and the event gives nothing to doing master writs it appears

It is all additive with each other before being multiplied. There is no way to get the numbers you claim.

A level 50 character will earn 1.5x the base xp value of 7485 for a hard master writ and 2.25x for a very hard.

With no multipliers, that’s 11227.5 for a hard and 16841.25 for a very hard.

With a 150% XP scroll that’s 28068.75 (will be slightly off due to rounding) for a hard and 42103.125 for very hard.

With all possible normal multipliers (ESO+, Ring of Mara, 150% xp buff, Explorer’s Buff = 270% buff), that’s 41541.75 for a hard and 62312.625 for a very hard.

There is no way to reach 60k for an alchemy, enchanting, or provisioning writ (unless you have a very specific combination of xp buffs and amount of Enlightenment remaining). Even if you have a remaining 100% xp buff from a prior event (anniversary cake or jester’s pie or witch’s brew), you would get a max 370% buff for a total of 52769.25.

ETA: The only way to get more is to have Enlightenment, which is not under your control. It is assigned every 24 hours from the last time you received it and increases your xp gain by 4x until it is consumed.

Did over 200 master writs(so far), and the exp seems exactly the same as during other double exp events. No issues.
