ESO problems according to me

Hello. This is not intended to be a "cry" just because I get bored of the teso and enter very little. It may be wrong, and surely biased. My intention is only for someone from ZoS to see it and reconsider some points. I hope you don't hate me, I insist my intention is not to argue, it's just a personal opinion of why I came back, a little forced, to WoW casually, at least until Dragonfly comes out.
I've been playing for 18 months and I reach 1400 CP. I did almost all the trials in VET and achievements of ND/SR/HM for example the one of Fang Lair for the personality Worm Wizard. I hit 100k on the Dummie in this patch. By this I mean I'm not a gamer or hardcore, but I'm not a newbie/lone player either.

My humble opinion:

1. I was able to master the weaving, but it really sucks to play like this, it feels unnatural. It feels very mechanized and repetitive. Also, weaving is very sensitive to latency, which brings us to the next point...
2. The servers work very poorly, very unstable.
3. The client crash very often a lot of people.
4. Group combat is full of Flashes everywhere between set effects, and bosses.
5. There are no search engines to group in trials.
6. There are no new classes, not even new skill lines for a long time.
7. Hybridization seems good, but it cut the variety of builds in half. (If you don't play META, well this may not be a problem, but surely you will play ALONE and if it is a problem for the rest.)
8. Understanding, seeing and following the buffs and debuffs is a very difficult task. It improves with addons but the interface is not as clear as other mmo.
9. The horizontal progression is very good, it is the strong point vs wow, but the solo game is too easy and does not give rewards that motivate you to play it. I connected only when I had to do things in a group.
10. There is no clear guide on the mechanics of the fights. Not even the slightest explanation. All this scares newbies away or just makes them play a "solo skyrim"

These basic things are in WoW for example. If they are not fulfilled, do not expect that they will ever come close to 20% of the people who are there.
At first the excitement of the game leads one to "endure these shortcomings" but there comes a time when one just wants to play and have fun. Surely I will not stop playing, I have paid the Plus for several more months but it really is time to fix things I think.

EDIT: I add one to the forums: there is no button to underline lol I had to put the code by hand... It's a clear example of what the game is sometimes haha

Regards,

I agree, with all of your points. The only way you can learn how to beat a trial is to read a guide or hope a guild will help you. There really should be a group finder because guilds have a habit of being regimented and only doing stuff at set times. Apart from audio queues from NPCs the game really does not teach you at all. It doesn't have to hold your hand that's not what I'm saying but the skill-gap is create because a lot of people don't know what to do and ZOS doing major nerfs to everyone will not fix the issue. Impromptu pugs via a trial finder like a dungeon finder would be amazing especially for more solo players that shy away from guilds or can't work around guild's time tables or requirements.

Other way is just find some people and go to try ;)

Due to instancing you won't always find people even if they are all in Craglorn and as you may or not be aware recently Craglorn has had a massive drop in population.

If you make some thing strange you find the same friends ;) So ask them to make some thing strange together some times is an option ))

If the OP wants to play WoW, it's there. Please don't even attempt to make ESO into WoW. Thanks.

Respectfully disagree. Firstly, the people that made the guides didn't have a guide so therefore they figured it out on their own. Secondly, I have run vet content on release blind, no guides and cleared it just fine. With a little patience and actually watching the fights you can figure it out.

I don't want to turn ESO into WoW. In fact I mentioned that I will continue playing and if I bother to post this it is because I like ESO. But you can take a lot of things from WoW or few. Really, to all the problems that I mentioned, the lack of people to make these contents is added, just look at this. https://mmo-population.com/. And on top of that, in WoW you pay monthly, so something is wrong with ESO.

The only thing that always confuses me is when people claim that lack of clarity over endgame mechanics scares newbies away. I guess that may be true for those who insist on getting to "endgame" in 10 minutes but I don't have any sympathy in those cases. Do people following normal progression paths through the game really reach trials and the harder group dungeons without having learnt anything along the way?

i was able to do it, if you can. But if you play other mmo's, you will see that there is much more clarity about it. The areas are often diffuse. I know that at least now, by tempering, it reduced the lighting of the jabs, but overall the game feels inconsistent. You're right, I think I should have been more precise about it: I think there are programming problems (some mechs don't work well, for example vSS and Zaan), graphic problems (lag, flashes almost make me play from memory), latency problems (LAs just fail). Besides this, I also meant that there is no guide in the game for newbies. Another problem is that the FOV can only be set to 120, it's very short and it's also unbelievable that there are no in-game warnings or input to the LA CD and abilities. There are many shortcomings that make it seem like an indie game compared to others... All this, added the lack of people willing to try these mechs in kamikaze form to learn, is an explosive cocktail for a newbie, who ends up playing Skyrim solo, and the real MMO players leave the game. .

Its a complicated subject. IME alot of it stems not only from the meta shifting constantly and being absolutely necessary if you want to be accepted in Vet trials groups, but also the investment cost in terms of buying/assembling a solid trials loadout in terms of arms/armor/sets for just one character and learning all the minutia in order to minimax the efficacy in your specific role.

Like right now my DPS magplar main is nowhere near vet trials ready between running old Morihaus, Song of Lamae and Willpower sets. Is it fine for overland mobs? Yeah because i bowling ball through enemies, but that doesnt cut it in vet Rockgrove. And unfortunately you can only get perfected bashei from running the trial. So i either sink gold and improvement materials into a less than meta set in the meantime or use a craftable, both of which will be discarded.

Here I can only tell you in defense of ESO, is that you can get the normal Bashei and the difference is super negligible with the perfect version. But the normal trial can be done by watching netflix and it practically does not teach any mechanics, and the veteran is a huge difference.

I think it more plays on nastalgia because of this strategy games (lor) - if take this game in vacuum of this - i do not think a lot of players would play it. L2 as on my opinion is much better ... was much better until gracia patch if i remember correct of 4th class change profession.

And there was the most beauterfull dark elvs i ever see ... but it was my first MMO and i play human ... HUMAN !!! =(
