Hail Champions,

First off, I am very grateful to ZOS for giving players the free trial this past week. It was very helpful! I do, however, have a couple of questions when its over with:

1. What happens to all the mats in the craft bag? Do the mats getting spread evenly amongst the toons?
2. Will I still have access to Cryodil? Coldharbor? Vvanderfell? Imperial City? *

*I tried looking online and most of these zones are listed as “neutral.” I only have the “base” game with the Morrowind chapter and the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood DLC.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions,

Butsie

    1. All the mats stay in the craft bag after free trial expires
    2. All of those areas mentioned are part of the base game and free DLCs, so they are unaffected.

Those zones are listed as Neutral because they don't belong to a Faction like other base-game zones.

    Xgkou,

Thank you for answering my question about the zones. In regards to the craft bag, what if you do not play to continue ESO+? I understand the craft bag is only for ESO+

    Thank you

    Thank you

Current free ESO+ week is active till July 14 10:00AM EDT. Any materials you collect to your inventory during this time will go to your craftbag.

These materials will stay in your craftbag after that date until you use them. If you buy an ESO+ sub after that, let's say for a month, you get craftbag access for a month, so new mats collected go to the craftbag. If you don't want to get ESO+ any new mats you collect will just go to your inventory. If you're crafting something, I believe it looks for materials in your inventory first, and if it doesn't find any it'll look in the craftbag.

Think of it like "renting" the craftbag.

Note that Imperial City is free for now but must still be “purchased” from the crown store for zero crowns. So if you can’t access it after the trial, you can “buy” it - understanding that that means White-Gold Tower and Imperial City Prison will always be accessible but also always in your personal potential random dungeon pool going forward.

Materials in the craft bag will stay there until you use them or choose to withdraw them. Any new ones you pick up will go into the characters inventory and can be put into the bank, just like before you had ESO+.

Importantly when you're crafting it will always take materials from the craft bag first, there is no way to change that. So gradually over time the materials you use will be removed from the craft bag and ones you collect will build up in your inventory/bank. But anything you don't use will stay in the bag and remain available.

You can also withdraw them manually, but if you do there's no way to put them back unless ESO+ is active, so you should only do that if you're selling or trading them.

Also remember to visit each zone that has freebies, port into each dlc dungeon that gives you freebies on entry , dye your costumes the way you like and stuff your double bank space full before it ends.

The free trial really doesn't have any catches .. I think Zenimax know that they'll hook plenty of fish onto the subscription model which is clearly what they want. They don't have to play any silly games because the ESO+ deal does stand up for itself.

I would like to thank everyone who took the time to answer my questions and explain how this will work after the trial ends. I was very confused about where all the materials would go, but your explanations makes a lot of sense.

Thank you for the feedback guys! I will certainly have to make sure to collect all the shards for the points. Other than that, I dont know of any freebies. If anyone has had recommendations, please let me know.

As much as I would love to subscribe to Eso+, I dont think my wife would go for it. LOL.

remember to enter gold coast and talk to the npc on the entrance than kill a npc , you will get a small quest that rewards you blade of woe and dark bh skill line.
there's a free pet for entering several zones so check the pets and the achievements needed. like you get a pet for entering orsinium. and abhas landing.
