Going over the crit cap?

Does going over the crit cap like say 125% crit damage + 10% minor brittle still yield benefits?

Everybody has a 20% crit resist so I imagine 135% - 20% would still be 115%

I was wondering if it was like armor caps where you can go over because of penetration.

Does anyone know for certain?

How often are you getting even close to crit cap in pvp? Crit resistance and crit damage are summed but you won't ever be close to crit damage cap in pvp at least in real situations.

Good question, especially now that it's more realistic with Oakensoul.

I can get 140% crti damage. Hence the question.

if it works like penetration then 145% would be still useful because everyone has 20% crit resists.

    Can't find out anywhere yet

Can you just get a friend to let you hit them with and without Brittle? To see if the numbers change?

Yes you can go over, just no benefit if the total is still over 125% after crit resist.

If you got more than 125%,time to change gear/skills,cause it's wasting resources you could have like crit chance, damage, resistance, buffs/debuffs,etc.The cap is how much you can do as a set stat,it doesn't count other's resistance, and it may not take in effect if someone debuffs you and makes you do less crit damage done.In advanced settings the calculation is 50+whatever it tells in the stat panel (ex. 50 + adv stat panel says 60 = 110).
