As someone who mainly crafts, I too feel my hard work of doing the crafting dailies every day is appreciated. As this event basically rewards me for doing them. Good event, would love to see it every year.
But ZOS does need to fix the major issue where a non-guilded player without any master writs is unable to EVER receive an event style page if they are unlucky and do not get it from the first-a-day box. Making them miss out on event style pages.
PS: Motifs appear to not be dropping at the moment.

Yeah I think we can all agree the idea and spirit of the event is perfect but there are some things that need to be fixed and refined. IMO if ZOS decides to make ZoZ a yearly thing, it should be set around labor day weekend, and maybe expand/change the event locations. I personally use Leyawiin as my crafting writ hub because its all so close at hand, so setting it up around the Leyawiin wayshrine would be great and make alot of sense from a lore perspective.

There are plenty of zone based events that occur only once, or occur in an irregular pattern with some shapeshifting. Haven't had Murkmire, Thieves guild or Dark Brotherhood in an event in over 2 years, for example. There was a Summerset event 2 years ago, a morrowind+CWC event last year, this year they were merged into one event with all three.Has Zenimax ever introduced an event they only did once? I thought all events occurred annually.

Of course. If you want someone's blessings they'd require you to at least know their name.

In the other zones there's random encounters npcs so it's just not Belkrath

The event calendar is currently (unofficially)
Mayhem and wildcard
Jester
Jubilee
Mayhem and wildcard
Chapter from 2 years ago
This year's chapter
Witches
Undaunted
New Life
This only has 2 wildcard spots for older zones, something that is increasingly crowded as time goes on. I like this event, but making it yearly and take up one of those 2 spots doesn't seem like a good idea overall.
Personally I think some events, like ZOZ and mayhem (and maybe undaunted with some tweaks) would be better as small recurring events than big ticket events. One weekend a month you get ZOZ to encourage master writs and guild activity, one weekend a month you get Mayhem double AP+TV. That would be 3 days a month, which would total up to more time dedicated to these things than currently, but in a more regular and manageable way. Frees up space in the calendar for the zone events that are increasingly crowded, and encourages more regular guild activity and PVPing.

Fun? It's the most boring event I've ever had the displeasure in taking part of. I'm only doing the ticket-quest and daily crafting writ.

You can steal for boxes

Yeah Murkmire has to be one of the worst DLCs. Great for the lore but the loot/gear was hit or miss and for most people it was miss, myself included

I suppose the other way to go would be to have ZOZ be yearly, make another yearly for the first wildcard and then do mini zone celebrations outside of events, every weekend not during an event a different zone has double drops. That could be cool too.
Yeah you posted while I was writing. That said, zone events can have intro quests.PeacefulAnarchy wrote: »There are plenty of zone based events that occur only once, or occur in an irregular pattern with some shapeshifting. I addressed these two posts prior to yours.
Yes, there are anniversary events to promote a zone but the current event like jesters and more, are purposefully built events that were built to be an event and purposefully built with added quests. The events that are more than promoting a DLC have at least one quest that was built and has a story of some sort behind it even if it is just a quest to get a cake made.
