Zeal of Zenithar is a fun, please make it an annual event?

Really digging the whole vibe of the ZoZ event. It feels like a tribute to all the crafters and motif hunters out there and is recirculating alot of hard to find provisioning recepies for newer players.

So could you please make it a yearly thing ZOS?

It would be a great thing to do in the dog days of summer between Whitestrake's Mayhem and Halloween.

As someone who mainly crafts, I too feel my hard work of doing the crafting dailies every day is appreciated. As this event basically rewards me for doing them. Good event, would love to see it every year.

PS: Motifs appear to not be dropping at the moment.

But ZOS does need to fix the major issue where a non-guilded player without any master writs is unable to EVER receive an event style page if they are unlucky and do not get it from the first-a-day box. Making them miss out on event style pages.

PS: Motifs appear to not be dropping at the moment.

It's a perfect event. Though can we have an NPC to buff lead chances like mark of protection

Hmm yeah that does seem to be a bug for non-guilded players. Wait gear style motifs are supposed to drop? I thought it was just supposed to be Furnishing BPs, Provisioning recipes, and rarer style materials like sea serpent hide for Pyandorean.

Yeah I think we can all agree the idea and spirit of the event is perfect but there are some things that need to be fixed and refined. IMO if ZOS decides to make ZoZ a yearly thing, it should be set around labor day weekend, and maybe expand/change the event locations. I personally use Leyawiin as my crafting writ hub because its all so close at hand, so setting it up around the Leyawiin wayshrine would be great and make alot of sense from a lore perspective.

They've done certain DLC celebration events that only came around once. Some events were also renamed or consolidated into others.

Technically true but they are really anniversary events rather than something actually built for an event. Zenimax did not have to create content to make those events happen. Not even an introductory quest event for anniversaries.

So I guess I need to restate that I do not see any events that were built to be events where actual work has to be done to create such an event such as adding at least one quest that was a one-time-only event.

There are plenty of zone based events that occur only once, or occur in an irregular pattern with some shapeshifting. Haven't had Murkmire, Thieves guild or Dark Brotherhood in an event in over 2 years, for example. There was a Summerset event 2 years ago, a morrowind+CWC event last year, this year they were merged into one event with all three.

The event calendar is currently (unofficially)
    Mayhem and wildcard
    Jester
    Jubilee
    Mayhem and wildcard
    Chapter from 2 years ago
    This year's chapter
    Witches
    Undaunted
    New Life

This only has 2 wildcard spots for older zones, something that is increasingly crowded as time goes on. I like this event, but making it yearly and take up one of those 2 spots doesn't seem like a good idea overall.

Personally I think some events, like ZOZ and mayhem (and maybe undaunted with some tweaks) would be better as small recurring events than big ticket events. One weekend a month you get ZOZ to encourage master writs and guild activity, one weekend a month you get Mayhem double AP+TV. That would be 3 days a month, which would total up to more time dedicated to these things than currently, but in a more regular and manageable way. Frees up space in the calendar for the zone events that are increasingly crowded, and encourages more regular guild activity and PVPing.

I suppose the other way to go would be to have ZOZ be yearly, make another yearly for the first wildcard and then do mini zone celebrations outside of events, every weekend not during an event a different zone has double drops. That could be cool too.

Oh i know its in other zones, its just that the Belkarth one is the most convenient since the traders are right next to the event and because everyone uses it, theres crazy delay time for loading NPCs

Agreed. If someone doesn't have a guild group to play with then the event isn't fun. I tried pick-pocketing but only got 1 purple box after about 25 attempts. Also the fact there's a limit on how many things can be sold/laundered to a fence each day. What are these people supposed to do: spend all day thieving for a small chance to get reward boxes and then only fence the items from the boxes and destroy the rest of the stolen goods? No thanks...

The odds of getting them via theft are pretty low/are limited per day.

Yesterday, I got one from my thieving and so far today I've only gotten one. I'll probably have to group up later to get the style page for the day.

You have to add "and does not pick pocket or steal from strongboxes or thieves' troves" to your list.

Yes, there are anniversary events to promote a zone but the current event like jesters and more, are purposefully built events that were built to be an event and purposefully built with added quests. The events that are more than promoting a DLC have at least one quest that was built and has a story of some sort behind it even if it is just a quest to get a cake made.

Yeah you posted while I was writing. That said, zone events can have intro quests
    https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Sand,_Snow,_and_Blood
    https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:A_Visit_to_Elsweyr
Admittedly ZOZ has more built around it than just the quest, though.

Also, the last new non-zone event was Undaunted in 2018. The way events were handled was so much different back then that you can't really conclude anything either way. Zenithar is an event with no comparitor in almost 4 years. You can say, as you have, that because it's not zone based and comes with additional world changes so must be something they plan on making annual. Or you could say that all new events in the last three and a half years have been one offs and ZOS has not said this one will be different.

You could be right, I wouldn't mind if you were, but if you are I hope they have some other changes in mind for handling zone events.
