Robbed of Oakensoul Ring! Kicked, then gone!

Right after collecting the final piece of it and confirming it was indeed in my Ring inventory, I was kicked to Character Select screen, then when I logged right back in, it was gone from my Inventory, and even though it still appeared to be in collected sets, it wouldn't allow me to reconstruct it.

This is on PS4/PS5 NA. Could I please be compensated it back? Getting the Leads for it was actually a nightmare... This is pain.

@ZOS_GinaBruno ? Anyone? I submitted within game a bug report, too. Shouldn't have to go through hell twice, to get something once...

Please... Someone have mercy on me and return my hard earned Ring to me that so many a player tried to keep me from, at Murkmire Safeboxes and the Titanclaw (Mudcrab Beach) World Boss... I did nothing wrong, I don't deserve to have it stolen away from me like this... This is not okay.

I've invested SO much time and money into ESO, for several years of playing it. I'm tired of the game just hating me back. Give me a break...

Wow... There truly is no justice, is there? I didn't cheat, I didn't con anyone, and I'm not now. I literally provided a screenshot of this whole funny business. Honestly just feels like everyone always has it in for me, anything to do with this game especially. ;-;

There were weird things going on PS5 yesterday. i got the murkmire lead, travelled to high isle, scryed it, went to the excavation location, started the excavation, got kicked out and when I logged back in I was back in Murkmire in the room where I got the lead. Luckily i still had the lead, but had to abandon the excavation (which didn't show as abandoned) log out, log back in again and i was able to scry it again.

To be fair, you only posted the report yesterday. It's been less than 24 hours.

Yes, it's super frustrating, but you might have to give it some time.

Not sure if this is even the best place, as it's meant more for game-wide bugs.

Try the report function in game, there's one specifically for issues on items I think.

Reporting it in-game was the first thing I did, yeah. So, development: Though clearly evident in the screenshot to prove it, there was some serious funny business, a short time ago I suddenly reverted back to having 4 pieces out of 5 for the Ring, and I'm not even sure they were the 4 I had before going to get the last piece, which this time around at least was the Sacred Resin.

I was able to scry the lead which I fortunately had for the one piece it didn't restore for me, excavated it, and got to keep the Oakensoul Ring this time around. So, errr, yeah...I guess that makes this thread a moot point now. ^^' No way I could have anticipated 4 out of 5 pieces magically just popping back into my possession, and the lead for the other one. <.< I'm not psychic. XD

Got the same kickback yesterday on PS5 EU. Gladly i didnt do that much in that time, but i also ported back to a place i was approx 5 minutes ago.

Something similar happened yesterday to friend on PC EU. He got lead from Atoll's watchlings...
He relogged for char what can scry and lead nowhere, just dissappeared.

You're going to have to wait a while, they probably can't do much for you until the next maintenance. They could have a GM send you a copy of it, go to technical support for that, but for not being able to reconstruct it would probably take a server shutdown or restart for that to fix. Don't expect a fix in a few days, much less within 24 hours.

The ring is the cheat! Maybe it is good karma prevents you from cheating?

Fortunately I suddenly had back 4 out of the 5 pieces for the Ring, not even sure if it was the same 4 (probably, though, I would guess, I just didn't take note of which 4 I had before), and just had to scry the lead for the other one then excavate it.

This whole occurrence just boggles my mind. Very confusing. But all is well that ends well. I guess the game worked itself out after a while, rubber banding my antiquity collections for it to before I got robbed of the last one temporarily, eventually able to go get it again, then after that, was also able to reconstruct it fine.

I just posted about a similar issue. Logged on and played for 25-30 minutes. Was riding my mount and hit a random load screen and Redirected to character select. Logged back in and I had lost all my progress prior and was in the location I first started at originally. Lost a lead, a bunch of loot from overland enemies and had to reopen all my mail again.
This issue also happened to my gf 3 times yesterday. We are not on the same connection, isp, or even in the same city. Got to a point where she was ready to quit and just watch Netflix.

I got kicked to character select on PC NA on Monday morning after the update, and according to zone chat everyone who was on experienced a rollback of about 5 minutes. I didn't lose anything, other than whatever I might have looted from Wuyuvys's corpse after killing him, and I had to kill him all over again. Someone in zone chat did lose something, though-- a lead, I think, or maybe a piece of trial gear; I forget.

Oddly enough, I was watching JTK streaming from Cyrodiil at the time, and I didn't notice anything happen to him, so it might have been restricted to whichever server(s) were running the particular instance of Vvardenfell that I was in. As I said, this was on Monday shortly after maintenance ended, and it was on PC NA.
