There was a time where if me and jeebs weren't outnumbered by at least 20 we'd get bored and walk away(With the group still trying to kill us ) sadly I all but gave up on pvp a year ago. Miss it, but not sure if I come back.10). dying because you're outnumbered 20 to 1
saw the emp just standing on the small landing heading from the bottom of the stairs up to the top floor...we were basically looking across from one another from opposite ends of the room (not exactly, but close)...
i thought they would continue up the stairs with their alliance buddies to come wipe me...
nope, the emp dragonknight did an elevated leap from that landing all the way across the room and one-shotted me as i watched them...
even after it happened, i didn't really believe it was possible...
what's funny, the exact same sequence got repeated at warden...
that "super" leap has stuck in my mind for years now - it really was sort of a spectacular death...
Yeah, that was towards the beginning of us being able to destroy bridges and milegates.i love the alessia bridge story - yes, i too have had some epic fails on that bridge...sadly, now that i'm full time DC - i rarely get to cross or fight on it anymore...
I don't even want to know how many times I've swam with the fishes trying to jump down to the side stairway from the bridge towers and go flying sideways or bouncing.can't tell you just how many times i've killed myself with streak - i stopped trying to even slot it for a year or so...

Fighting but doing no damage, only to realize you died 15 seconds ago.
Dying to an NPC at a resource during a very winnable fight against another player(s)
Best death: I’m being escorted by a small contingent of AD soldiers back into the south of the map because I’m carrying an elder scroll. That’s right, I’m a hero. About to cross the Alesia bridge and feeling good because we own our home keeps so I’m thinking this bridge marks the safety line… when, halfway across, a small contingent of EP (the bad guys ) pops up out of stealth. Pretty sure a brief but brutal battle ensued… I admit I’m not terribly sure, because the very first thing that happened is an EP Templar speared me off the bridge. Now… I can’t quite remember if I actually fell into the slaughter fish and made it to shore or if I somehow landed on a ledge on the side of the cliff… but I was able to stay there while AD eventually won the fight. With some courage and some lucky trick jumping and crouch climbing I made it to a point right below where a couple of my intrepid teammates had started trying to climb down closer to me. So after much discussion… I log off. They were able to click the scroll from where they were… and then they had to do the same thing one more time, and the scroll was saved. The game couldn’t be cool and teleport me to the gate or anything when I logged back in… so I unceremoniously lept into the
Yeah death with no counterplay frustrates more than death because you made an error.NordSwordnBoard wrote: »Worst is death with no counterplay. The rest is something you got yourself involved in lol.
