[What?] Logged out in Dragonstar Arena, logged in to being placed in a random group?

All i did was head to Dragonstar Arena, log out inside of the instance and play another character for a while and when i logged back in i was positioned outside the arena (because the instance closed) and i was in a group i got no response from, that was also in a queue/in progress?
Tried whispering both names and @ username but account/player not found.
The group also vanished when i switched area.
Apparently not the first time this has happened?
