Either Or.....(animation canceling)

I am old ESO player, from the time we had full animation canceling for every skill, now after years I see we have some skills blocking animation canceling, some other cant be canceled through the block but can be through the swap, so here is the thing dear ZOS @ZOS_Kevin @ZOS_RichLambert

Either just remove animation canceling at ALL(which will cause clunky combat and wont be giving any fun), or make every skill cancelable

Because when you introduced ARMOR instead phy/mag resistances, after it damage and not phy/spell differentiation, after crit chance for both, at the end of the day we will have something like this : armor, damage output + META sets, so where is the player skill???

What you think dear players on this? Leave your comments below

P.S. Dear Rich Lambert, please turn on your PC get into the game and queue for random vet dungeon, especially DLC ones, you will see that 90%+ of players have extremely low dps, and those little percentage of so called overpowered players deserve it imho.

Please give us back old-school cancelling. The current system is a buggy mess and it has taken a lot of enjoyment away from the game for me. I'm glad people are still making threads on this. :)

This whole animation canceling should be gone for good, if you ask me. Bugs became features, because a handful of people found it actually fun (light attack weaving is the best example) and it meant no work ZOS had to put into fixing. A win/win situation. Though a lot of people never liked it. Me neither.

Also the engine/code/mechanics/lag and whatnot cause only a few players to reliable get through anything regarding canceling or weaving attacks or animations. If they are going for it, they should also buff all proc sets to be viable again in all content for everyone not intested in smashing keyboard buttons like a madman. I'd rather have a fluent combat instead of implementing more of the same mess for every skill.

If anything, every single player deserves a fun combat system. Not just that "little percentage of so called overpowered players" as you call it.

A friend of mine who plays ESO from India (on PC EU) can weave just fine.
Input delay is mostly meaningless, as long as you execute your skills and light attacks in the right order.

Sure about this? I can light attack weave just fine with 300-400 ping and I'm not even in the same continent as the server I play on.
A lot of people I met who had issues with light attack weaving were simply doing it wrong, and the correct way looks nothing like "smashing buttons like a madman".

Light attack weaving is not animation canceling. You can do light attacks with your left mouse button as default key after you used a skill and the skills have their 1s action cooldown. Skills always had 1s cooldown.
You could skip the skill animation though and make your skills be casted(hit your target) some milli seconds earlier. This mostly helped your dps by allowing your dots hit earlier. It also helped with bursting dmg in pvp.

Hope the part about light attack weaving help you and some others who did not know this.

I agree with Original poster it made the game more fun the way it were before.
